First AFF failed really bad! need imput!
christelsabine replied to elgue's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yep. Several times. I do not even remember my very first jumps. My first instructor sent me back home with the friendly advise to *look for something closer to earth* As stubborn as I was, I just changed the DZ, et voilà: It worked. I very much enjoyed the surprise in my former instructor's face when meeting him somewhere in a foreign country doing my 100th jump from a heli. If you want to jump and feel addicted, go on. But, it's not only a question of beeing addicted, it's a money question, too. Repeating jumps is costly Good luck dudeist skydiver # 3105 -

Oh, and he was not? Now we all get it No. I did not see any personal rudeness against you or someone else. BTW: Who's *we all*, except yourself? dudeist skydiver # 3105 -
Or you, apparently. spelling flames are the lowest form of rebuttal on the internet. While I really don't care about how our president pronounces words not used in everyday conversation, he is the commander in chief of our military. He should learn these terms. Especially since one of these corpse-men stationed at the white house might lend him aid while he's in office. *Spelling flames ...* ?? I'd prefer to discuss with other participants on same eye level. If they can't, they lost. Simple as that. I really do care how our chancellor, Dr. Merkel, is doing her conversation, especially with alien politicians. If this is everyday's conversation or not: She's representing my country and myself. Bad spelling and talking are low. dudeist skydiver # 3105

I suggest you keep your useless advice to yourself. If you do the same many would be happy What kind of BS is that, Marc - you surely would be the only one as you have nothing intelligent to add ... Just imagine that about 60 million of your total population stems from Germany, what about the rest??? Send all of them back where they came from, and perhaps you'd be the lonely cowboy riding into the sunset. You Yanks should check out your roots from time to time. You mean like Switzerland, where most of the populace has full-auto military machine guns in their homes, and yet, , they don't go around shooting each other every day? How could that be? It's all about the guns, right? And if guns are widespread, then people shoot each other a lot, right? But they don't seem to be doing that in Switzerland. So how does your theory account for this? Wrong. It's not the populace, it's every soldier who ever served in the Swiss army. They have to keep thier weapons locked at home. To compare Switzerland to the US is BS. The populace usually is not armed with machine guns. Your post still leaves another open question: Why don't those crazy Swiss folks walk around, shooting each other? Why are Americans doing that in such an extensive way? THAT should make you dudeist skydiver # 3105 -

Calm down. The *face behind him* is not even watching him, much more looking into the direction of the lady. Anyhow, that pic looks like a fake. I thought the same thing, but it was on the news live! Yep, and as the news and the cameras always are right ... So, it was OK for you to call him an assclown. Logical. Jesus knows that I'm not falling for our politicians, they use to fail like you and me. But, one thing is for sure: In public, I never ever would curse at one of them like you do. Just my opinion. YMMV. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Well, you had to dig a bit deeper, I guess. 6 y/o news are not really actual. The Netherlands are a safe place, that's for sure. Read a bit about the background of above story, that'll help. I love to walk the streets in NL, fully unarmed. It's just around the corner and has nice DZ's. -

Why did you buy a gun, illegally no less, when you were in Florida? Were you afraid? I was not afraid walking Florida. I just wanted to buy that gun. To try if I get one, and it was working. -

Wow. So your average citizen does not watch TV, news, does not read papers ... which all of them are showing horror shootings/killings on a daily basis in your country? Just around them? Man, Ogrish is not really the only source. Who's living in fear? Having a look around my good old Europe, I deally doubt we're living in fear, unarmed and such. I feel safe, our policy and police is working quite good - so why do I have to be armed in daily life? Your, dear friend, live in fear. Or why do you have to be armed from teeth to tooth? edited for typo dudeist skydiver # 3105 -
Who keeps electing these assholes? Your fellow countrymen, perhaps? Just a wild guess dudeist skydiver # 3105

yeah... that right there makes me take you seriously. yeah... Yes, you should. It's happening in your country on a daily basis. That is a serious matter. Even the story with the cattle. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Yep... And in every single case the weapon didn't do the shooting. I do find this funny from a person who admits to breaking Federal Law and completing a straw purchase in Florida in the 2000 "I bought a hand gun in Fort Lauderdale in '00 by just by showing my credit card"--christelsabine No matter that the law requiring paperwork has been in place since 1968, and a MANDATORY 3day wait has been in place in FL since May 5, 1991. Then of course you just changed your story: "The guy in the Fort Lauderdale shop just asked me if I have cash, no need for a credit card." So you either: A. Lied B. Participated in an illegal transaction. So which is it? And why did you buy a gun in the US if you only need them for hunting? Why do YOU buy guns? Only for hunting when hungry? Yep, I bought a gun. Like many others did and still do. Even aliens. Do not tell me that every gun shop is working properly and according to law requirements. THAT would be a lie. The shop owner wanted to see cash (instead of a credit card deal, of course). And now you tell me: Where is the connection to actual thread, please? Or are you just fishing for arguments? *Solid* arguments like that one from your post? "And in every single case the weapon didn't do the shooting." That's a punchy argument?? It needs little brain to realize it's just moronic. dudeist skydiver # 3105

That was George's claim, but he failed utterly to substantiate it. You're not even trying - you're just insisting it must be true because you think it is. I do not intend to enter into these idiotic discussions currently circulation here - endless shit w/o any content. No one failed. Figures speak for itself. If you do not believe it, so what. Not my biz. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Yes, they were killed, by criminals that intended to kill (well, the first was a police shooting a suspect). It appears these were planned acts. There's no evidence to support a claim that the mere presence of guns made the shooters think- "Hey, I got a gun, I'm going to kill this motherfucker" Premeditated murder doesn't require a gun to enact. It's one of many available tools. Wish-wash (..."well, the first was a police shooting a suspect "....) Excuses, whitewashing the simple facts: Men killed men with guns. NOT only criminals, just the average Joe having a gun in his hands is killing. If the gun is within reach, the drunken idiot full of anger will use it to kill his family (or his cattle ). dudeist skydiver # 3105

Dear Jesus, who the f*ck is dense?? Facts are obvious, these are deadly shootings, effected by persons with weapons If it's *about* parking lot shootings* or 5 m away from that *lot*, these people were killed. Within a very short time period. Stupid, really stupid, your reply. Glossing over simple facts. dudeist skydiver # 3105

OK. It's a matter of crime, not of the tool. Let's see: Don't ban guns. It's a matter of people, killing people. Not guns. Guns don't kill. Don't ban texting/phoning/w/cell phones. It's a matter of people. Not cell phones. Cell phones don't cause deadly car crashes. Clearly. dudeist skydiver # 3105
