Should guns be banned from the law-abiding to help fight crime?

Why don't you let him answer by himself? Somehow, I'm of the strong opinion, he needs some fellows which answer for him first ..... then, the Big Red One enters the scene! Ingenious WaPeSD, what'd you say? He was the steerage in a navy ship? Or a steersman? Whatever. dudeist skydiver # 3105 -

Christel, did your husband's passing make your child ignore reality? Did you immediately remove all photos of him, so the child could "face reality?" Or did you, as I suspect, talk with your child and help them get to a better place with their father's death. As you got there, too...because that's what being a good parent means; you help your child through the hard times. That's all they're doing with the flat daddies and mommies. ("... and mommies." ) Our situation cannot be compared as my boy lived with his dying dad and faced reality. Why should photos be removed after his dad died? Still today we keep them, even in my home meanwhile are few more photos of my new husband "The national guard is sending cardboard cutouts of family members..." Horror. A no-vote from me. Really!! Sent by parcel post, TNT, UP or what??? Sorry Michele, I do not want to hurt your feelings - it's just too hair-rising for me. Christel dudeist skydiver # 3105

Oh the horror... About 2.500 additonally licensed guns in a British county w/in 5 years - that really must be an alarming signal to the US.. Your passion for Great Britain is overwhelming - question: Did you ever cross any Texas border? again ROFLLMAO, thanks JR dudeist skydiver # 3105 -
You must have confused with the Iraqis, Palestinians, and any other dolt firing "into the air like Jihad Johnny" Ah yes? Where's the limit on calibres/weapons to be used for fun at American shooting ranges? dudeist skydiver # 3105

For the moment, you seem to be right. A 6 y/o cuddles teddy bear and will kiss the "flat daddy" good night. And then: 2 months later - daddy's been on wrong place at wrong time. Boom. No real daddy anymore. But there still is the flat one. Will the flat one take over his role? It's heart braking just to imagine the little one's kissing "flat" daddy every night and one day, the real one never will come back. Who will tell this to little darling? Or is she supposed to adopt the "flat" one now? Sounds harsh, I know. In my ears, it much more sounds insensitive and like a very bad joke to present those families a pc of paper. From personal experience I know how precious the pic of a lost one can be but, I never would accept a pc of cardboard with the pic of my man sitting on the breakfast table. Horror vision and a giant lie to the kids. dudeist skydiver # 3105

This is a strange thing. It's more than that. Sounds like a very desperate last try to give those families something to hold on - heaven, how stupid is this idea! Does this cardboard comrade sit on his own chair at the breakfast or dinner table, smiling at his kids? Allow families to chat, phone, whatever_there_is on a regular basis with their loved ones far away - that's much more real to them than such a pc of paperboard. OTOH, family/kids need to live w/o dad/husband/etc. They should not be cheated with such a primitive BS. dudeist skydiver # 3105

So why dont you instead debate the post and not the poster then? A lot of people like to bash John but then never answer any of his questions of the topic at hand. The gun-o-phobes think that bashing the messenger is a legitimate debate tactic that proves they are correct. Isn't it interesting to note how they don't have anything to actually say in support of the proposal. All rational and logical people should take note of these things, and judge the merits (or lack thereof) of their arguments accordingly. Oh JR, stop whining! Nobody is bashing the messanger of this thread, I for one really enjoy it, gun threads were becoming so rare lately . OK, let me reply to the topic as fllws: I just would wish the average Joe-in-the-street to face our rigid gun controls; in such case, nobody would break his head about microstamping of semi-automatic handguns - they simply were forbidden. Perhaps this could help to decrease crime a bit, who knows ..... but, you know my point of view on that. What a far-fetched argument. What's a "public" shooting range for you? We do not have such. Only licensed, registered shooters are allowed to enter shooting ranges which only are reserved for sports shooters (own ranges) and (seperate) training ranges for hunters. All of them strictly are obliged to collect they own empty cartridges. These places are not "public". But, as far as I know, nearly every Joe owning a weapon in your country can go out to one of those many shooting ranges to shoot his money into the air and to feel like GI Joe for an hour. So, why not. Everybody to his taste.

"SentEncing" What's that ?

Maybe not, but you seem to have a beef with Mr. Rich but you never debate the topic. You just go after him. So back to the topic. Is microstamping a good or bad thing? I see there are about a dozen votes for yes but no reason why or how it would help fight crime. Mr. Rookie, once again and in s-l-o-m-o: What and to whom I reply, is my own hobby. If I have a beef with someone ore a well done one on my dinner plate is my biz, too. But, as I'm a peace loving person, I have no beefs with anyone. - wanna be the first ? dudeist skydiver # 3105

So why dont you instead debate the post and not the poster then? A lot of people like to bash John but then never answer any of his questions of the topic at hand. I will ask it again. Is microstamping a good idea or not? What?? I just enjoyed the fact that so many posters enjoyed JohnRich's poll - what and to whom I reply definitely is not your biz, dear dudeist skydiver # 3105

You are spending a lot of time talking, but no time answering my questions. Do you consider that constructive to the debate? Why are you here? Already half a dozens laughs in one of your gun thread. Isn't that nice? You're bringing joy to the world, JohnRich edited for typos dudeist skydiver # 3105

Had the classical version of operation on the front part of shoulder - scar is about 10 cm. Including the repair of 2 torn muscles, it took a bit less than a year - depends on kind of damage. My right arm was popping out by itself when pulling over a pullover - I did not feel any pain at all. As all was torn before. Incident happened at my 5th level of AFF as I stalled canopy too high, fell down and rolled over in front of me. Instead of doing a fine PFL, I tried to stop myself with my right arm - there it was when s*** happened! I came back after one year, did AFF and since then, spent a lot of money Take your time, dude. It's for your own safety reasons. I still have only about 75 percent of strength in my right arm/shoulder, did many rehabs etc. Today, I can deal with it. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Hmmm - I think it's much more a kind of "religious" war between 2 parties: Once in ancient times, 2 cave dwellers were sitting on the ground floor near to the fire. They were bored and started to compare their private parts: Mine is longer .... no mine is bigger ..... Suddenly, clubs were swinging - violence was in the air. They called names at each other (Micro and such .....) ! That was the begin of a an age-long "religious" (believing?) war - still burning today, even on smaller flames. That's result of my personal scientific studies made on the thread. No need to dig deep into libraries - just watch the evidence dudeist skydiver # 3105

You said that looking at my outdated opinions for a certain "distance"... perhaps you should get a little closer... Heaven, no! Perhaps it's contagious Coming back to a point of your post: Of course, I'd loved to turn back times 10 yrs ago and have him back - normal. So what? We suddenly were no family any longer? THAT was my question, Micro Rest assured, we were a family. And still are. Even the constellation of *man/wife/child* broke down. We found other, nonetheless same fine ways to live on. As a family dudeist skydiver # 3105

..... Leave it to the Catholic-hater to keep bringing that up. This isn't about Catholics vs. the world. This is about political ideologies and politics in the US. I'm not arguing my points from a religious standpoint. John is bringing them up as a way to discredit them. Careful john, your fallacies and predjudices are showing... Camel crap. There's showing nothing. Kallend just was replying to a very clear and open minded post and comparing a bit with history. Reading your posts from a certain "distance", it strongly sounds like you're on something like a "holy cruisade"... Question: What for??? As per your out-dated opinion, after my husband died and left his wife and his boy behind: We no more were any kind of family??? Ha. Believe me, my entire family never was larger than at this time. In my eyes, family does include my parents, siblings plus their own pride - everybody who's still alive and belongs to me, loves me, which I love and care for. That's family, at least for me dudeist skydiver # 3105

So, is it important or not?? Yes. Highly important. Do not forget about the poor aliens which really are brave in entering this lousy site day by day wanting to learn a bit more of "natural tongue English"... If it's coming from Rednecks or the East Coast, it's educating for us - pls respect that. Danke. Makes me wanna stay on dizzydotcom few hours more than the normal 12 .. dudeist skydiver # 3105
