  1. How low are we talking about here?... We have a 150' site over solid ground that has had numerous S/L's off of it as well as a few tards with no problem. The S/L's were done using a single piece of brake cord tied to the end of the bridle with the access rubberbanded. I'd rather not complicate things with 3 pieces of brake cord. Personally I tard it since they open higher. Have fun, don't die.

Anyone have the no shit technical explanation for what happened yesterday? Preferably from someone who examined the gear and or video afterwards. No rumors or second hand info...... No names please...

    SLC to TF

I'm looking to car pool from Salt Lake City to Twin Falls anytime during the 23rd of this month (sunday) untill the 26th (wednesday). My truck gets shitty gas mileage so I'm looking to split the bill with anyone who needs a ride. Doesn't matter if it's one way or both..... PM me if you want to hook something up. Also, anyone know if the TF local named Mark and the rest of that crew will be around?
  4. you forgot to add this option to the poll.... how about, "would rather shoot himself in the head then vote in this poll".... type less, jump more

    Raleigh crew

A bunch of out of towners will be around this weekend at the CSS thanksgiving bash. PM me if you want to put something together. Thanks.....
  6. canopy was a zp exe 155 loaded at 1.4 to 1. Standerd skydiving rig with the exception of a birdman bridle/pilot chute and cut corners on the container. I'll check the video later tonight to find out how long of a canopy ride it was. I had enough time to unzip both arms, one leg, pop toggles, turn and land. If we get the video up, you'll see thats it doesn't look as bad as it sounds....
  7. yea, but he use's a base canopy....
  8. regardless of the altitude varialbes that go along with audible alitimers...... The show must go on!! I thought this was an obvious rule, but I'll say it anyways. NO PHOTO EDITING ALLOWED!! Abuse of this rule is punishable by being banned from the forums for 7 days
  9. I'm un-officially starting a contest for the lowest recorded opening on your neptune/dytter. You MUST use a skydiving rig and exit from a plane with a wingsuit. Post a picture of your neptune for proof... The winner gets a steak dinner from Tom A. Here's my entry........
  10. those aren't pics of me, I was the one taking the shots...
  11. Thought I'd share some of my day blazing love with the rest of the community.... , spare me your two cents on base ethics. Enjoy!
  12. I've been planning on moving to SLC and starting school at the Univeristy of Utah in January. However, due to the state of Utah trying to scam 3 years or 60 credit hours of out of state tuition from me, I'm shifting my focus to my alternate school: Colorado State. I'm still thinking that the Salt Lake area is probably better positioned for Base jumping considering it's right in the middle of the perrine and Moab and some of the bigger stuff in CA is a weekend trip away. But I'm not famalier with the CO base scene so I need someone to fill me in. I'm a wingsuit flyer so a DZ near by would also be a plus. Fill me in ..........
  13. I will be flying into SLC at 10:30 on Wednesday the 28th. If anyone else is arrivng that day and planning on renting a car I will split the gas cost with them if they don't mind some company for the drive down to MOAB. If I have no luck I'll just take the shuttle.. no worries. PM me

  15. A quick question for the wingsuit reps attending the boogie later this month in Moab. I have heard mixed information as to who and what kind of demo fleet will be at the event. So far all I know is that PF will have some prodigy demo's there, and last I heard no one from BM was attending. If the latter is true, would another BM rep be willing to send some of their suits instead? I have my own wingsuit, but would love to try out some of those new designs out there. See you all in UT at the end of the month....... on a side note: Scott, the firebird kicks ass, get out here so I have someone to jump with!!
  16. I'm thinking about going to Mesa, a college in Grand Junction, CO. Anybody know of local base jumpers or skydivers in the area. I know Moab is only an hour away. I'm just curious if I'll have anyone to car pool with if I move there. PM me if you know any contacts in the area as I will be visiting in Oct.... thanks
  17. suck it. I heard you are storing your butt fun in my trailer. You better not break anything
  18. what the hell are you doing there?
  19. thanks... you happen to know JT Holmes's name he uses on this site?? I'd like to PM him but can't remember what his account name is......
  20. I have a "friend" who has about 300 jumps. He is currently jumping a x-fire 129 loaded at about 1.7 During his first 20 jumps he was doing 20-way night jumps using a 300+ square foot canopy. He than bought a safire 150 as his first canopy. Jumped that about 200 times while doing 90's and 180's on landing while also jumping a camera. After 200 jumps he bought a x-fire 129 and started jumping wingsuits too. Oh yea, somewhere around 200 jumps he also took up base jumping. What an IDIOT. I mean really people, it must be a miracle or something that he is still alive. In fact, next time I see him I'll ask him how he continues to cheat death on a regular basis. I'll get back to you with his secret...........
  21. I am lucky enough to have free plane tickets to and from Germany to be used sometime in July. I would more than likely be getting one of those youth rail passes for 3 countries (Germany, Denmark, Norway) which should take care of the Germany to Norway portion. However, I have never been to Norway and would like to try and link up with a group if already going around that time. What I am looking for is the name of some of the cities around the big walls so I can start looking at the map and working out the details of this trip. Ideally I would like to hook up with some wingsuit jumpers and make that my primary focus. Anyways, just thougt I would throw this out there considering the experience and broad base of internationl jumpers we have here at dz.com. Any info you have would be great. Thanks in advance......
  22. ??????????????????????????????????
  23. Any base jumpers planning on making their way out there over the st. patricks day boogie?? I'll be there and will definitely be up for making some jumps....
  24. I'm off work for the week and I'll be traveling from NC through VA up near DC and than down to Virginia Tech. PM me if you want to make a jump this week. I don't mind driving your way to make a jump off a new object......... thanks Neil 910-988-9238
  25. I just bought a 26ft lopo for water jumps and I have a question as to what modifications, if any, I need to do. I was wondering things such as do I need to remove the daiper and if a tailpocket needs to be installed. Any of you out there who are jumping old round reserves, let me know whats up. Just lookin for some pointers before I throw this thing in a container. Thanks......
