Hi Mel some good pointers there from steve....The only thing I can offer is ' its all about feeling' if you know what I mean..for me every landing is different and all varies on weather Temp etc..you have too tune in to the canopy and remember be safe have fun.. good luck and TC

I have just recieved my Skyline 0.3x from xdream optics in Germany. Fantastic piece of kit.I would highly recommend it to anyone.The construct and Optics are great.There is no Vignetting and no fish eye effect on the edges ( Only a little when you turn adjacent to a flat surface...which is normal. ) The image is flat and is solid with no distorsion of subject matter or surroundings even when close up. I recieved in a well packaged box 4 days after ordering,comes registered post.The guy I delt with ( Christian Sester ) was a pleasure and very proffessional. On their website ,the pics are not so good.But in your hands the image quality is fantastic...!!! get one,if your serious about your video flying...you will be well chuffed. You will not be charged any custom import taxes for shipping to UK or Europe.

I use a Felt tip pen and dot the goggles........works a treat.... more money for skydives...

Hey bud...Im rolling in at 190 sometimes 200 if my wifes on... I fly video on Tandems and Aff,all various sizes...I wear Desert combats and a sweat shirt ( im a Jipo ) and sometimes I wear my freefly suit for the big boys....Probaly for 1800 jumps now.. I dont wanna sound brash here coz I know where your coming from...But Fly your Body man...I dont use wings ,and I just skydive harder,sometimes I feel on the edge of my envelope,but i never fall off it.( not yet and when I do...I'll buy you a Beer ) Er .... have you thought about getting a Buddy to film you doing video and then you can critique yourself??

You can get this Lense on eBay from the same guy.I have a lot of experience with German made optics ( I have a few of their B&W filters ) based on this I am very confident this is a very superior lense and excellent quality....as are most German Engineered products. i just bought one...will post when I know more.Thansk Steffen

really...I thought the xaos was something special.? I have ordered a new CF2 109 and a Spectre 120... so I get a balance....The FX will be hanging up for a while....until my neck gets better

Tom and Kuri came to Empuria way back when I worked the Packmat ( in between Tandems and Vids ..hard days then..)Tom had 80 jumps and Kuri had 150. They win my respect because they are great people who have worked so hard to perfect there Flying.They have worked hard too promote safety and fun and are a perfect example of the right attitude to the sport. Above all else ,outside skydiving ability they are just 2 cool guys...

Hi Bud I have been jumping an FX for the last 2000 skydives.Its a great canopy and the adventages weigh up the Drawbacks evenly....but only in the right hands.

Definatley my Yam YZF R1.... I got chased by the Danish Police in 2 squad cars and a chopper for 23 miles to the German Border.I had no idea they were on my tail.I was just in my zone and trying to get back to work in Hamburg.I pulled in at the services before crossing the border and next minute Im surrounded by seriously pissed off cops..... They told me when I started to get up to speeds of 160mph they called the chopper...I told em ' hey you wanna do a Tandem at the weekend and I'll show you fast mate ?' Seems everyone got some serious action ,and I missed it all.They where in 280 bhp ford mondeos and they still couldn't keep up....and I wasn't even pushing it.. I was saving that for after I got some Breakfast in me and the Autobahn in Germany. £800 fine and lost my licence for 3 months... Bollox. Still managed too treat myself too a full akrapovic race system and she reamins my favourite toy apart from my rig.. Oh I attached a pic of my Lady fresh out of the shop back in 99... took her out for a little run in before the weekend.... scrub the tires in and get the setup right......

I have had Broken Nose ( Someones knee in the face on exit ) Cracked Heel Bone ( end of swoop,foot clipped raised congrete bit in front of manifest ...jez..it hurt!! ) Broken Sternum ( Kneed myself in the chest after pounding bigstyle on a pond swoop) Oh and a Herniated Vertabre from a Tandem slammer Perment neck pains from countless slammers during video....

I have done both and Skydiving has hurt me,I got knocked unconcious after exit and came round at 3000feet ,no Cypres and broken Nose and ...mmm the taste of blood in freefall...thats something eh? But I work in GSM Telecommunications and by far RF Radiation on some Towers and the access to them and the climb is more dangerous.Plus the margin for error on BASE....hhmm
