  1. mmm, is that bum reserved? .-.
  2. Lately I have been doing some experimenting with turning at a lower altitude before my landings. I have been getting nice swoops out of it. However, I am using my toggles, no my dive loops on the front risers. Am I right in assuming that doing this is similiar to doing a front riser turn however it just is not as effective and thus you dont gain as much speed? Is there anything I should be careful with when doing this? Would it be better to just use the front risers? I took a canopy control class with scott miller in which we went over high speed approaches. however, i wasn't interested in doing them at the time. any response is appreciated, thanks! .-.

    Mr. Bill

does it matter if you do a mr bill on a larger canopy like a sabre 170? .-.
  4. I've just got the regular. If you call up Tonysuit they will describe in detail what the differences are. They are really cool over there. .-.
  5. did you order a second one for me? .-.
  6. Its the area where jumpers/packers pack the rigs. It's often just a modified hangar with carpeting. .-.
  7. Wow, that is both sad and pathetic. And here I thought there was so much regulation over skydiving which is what made it safe... .-.
  8. If this is true, then why are there so many people who claim that USPA makes this sport so safe. How is it safe if the rules aren't neccessarily being enforced? Isn't that a paradox? .-.
  9. Whats the cost of the bag, and is it available for all Javelin rigs? .-.
  10. I am curious to know what USPA's policy is about checking up on dropzones that are registered with USPA. I would assume that DZ's receive suprise visits once in a while, or some form of a check-up. .-.
  11. Go to your local DZ and talk to the instructors there. .-.
  12. Where do u find the "soft silicone coates ones" ? .-.
  13. I think that's what I meant, maybe you misunderstood my post... .-.
  14. I've heard some people say that in areas where dust devils or high wind gusts are common, they do it so they dont get dragged across the ground on landing (ie they cutaway as soon as they feel the gust coming and since the RSL is disconnected the reserve doesnt deploy). Im pretty sure it would take some pretty quick thinking though to cutaway in a situation like that. .-.
  15. I meant to say: is it possible for your hands to get so cold that you can't grip the handle(s). Im sure you could get your hands on it, thanks for the answers so far. .-.
  16. This may be a stupid question, but since I've never jumped during the winter months I don't know if this is ever the case, or if its possible. I assume that during the winter it can get pretty cold at full altitude. Is it possible that someones hands can get so cold in freefall that they physically can't reach for their reserve? Has this ever happened? Also, has the Cypres been tested in extreme temperatures? Is it possible the Cypres may not fire in extreme conditions? Just a hypothetical situation I thought up a little while ago. Thanks. .-.
  17. I had a ride on my 160r a few weeks back, sweet canopy. .-.
  18. I think one of the major factors in a situation like this iswhat your altitide is and how bad the line over is, i.e. how fast your falling. .-.
  19. Im still short by 10 for my C :( Horrible weather this weekend in Boston. Oh well, guess I'll be waiting for 200. .-.
  20. Because he isn't considering buying it, he said he wants either one or the other. Skytronix is supposedly a "lower end" pro-dytter. Ive never seen one or used one so thats sort of an assumption. im sure it works fine though. .-.
