  2. I found my rig through eBay. I asked for the guys phone number, called him up and got every piece of information. Found him to be a really nice guy and trusted his word. He agreed to send me the rig to my DZ without me paying anything. I told him if I didn't think something about it I would send it back. Everything worked out really well and the rig was better than I had expected. My brother recently did the same thing through eBay however he paid upfront. Everything worked out well for him also. eBay is definitely a trustworthy place to find a rig, just be careful. .-.
  3. i remember they were doing a reconstruction of an incident that happened in florida. i was at the dz the 2 days they did it. they had a rig on a dummy and 1 of the breaks was intentionally unstowed and a knot was tied into it. they dropped the dummy using a static line from about 1,000 feet and the canopy opened perfectly. .-.

  7. I'm curious to see how many of you have had problems at the airport since 9/11. I would also like to see what airports are more/less friendly than others. If you could post the airports that you have used to travel with your rig and what the outcome was that would be cool. Thanks. Friendly: Denver International, Baltimore Washington International, Unfriendly: ? .-.
  8. AFF - $1200-$1400 for 7 levels Each jump after that should be the jump ticket cost ($18-$21) + rental gear which varies + coach jump costs. I would say to put away around $2,000 to be safe. .-.

  14. i gotta say, i dont see any reason to make this woman suffer any longer. its sad that she has to die like that, but she will be in a better place in 2 weeks. p.s. anyone know why it takes 2 weeks for her to pass on once the tube is taken out? you would think it would be much sooner. .-.

  17. There are a ton of threads on this, but Ill save you the time. I always carry mine on. Two times they haven't said anything at all, and one time at Denver airport they asked "do you have your little card on you." How cute...they let me through that time without looking in the bag at all, and of course my hook knife was in there. I wouldn't be too worried about taking it on board. From what I have heard the screeners, for the most part, are now well informed about the whole situation. Good luck. .-.
