All the time. And then I watch the clock tick by knowing that my daughter wakes up the same time every morning regardless of how much sleep I got the night before..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

Good advice. And I've been on the edge many times. Wondering. But at my lowest hour, the only people that KNEW, the only souls brave enough to pick me up off the floor was an entire community of skydivers. I couldn't live anywhere else. Because life is full of pain. But rarely do you find the joy that you find in this community. Enough of that. None of you are going to hold this blatent display of emotion against me are you? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

What do you think of my new jumpsuit?
GravityGirl replied to StevePhelps's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It's looks really cool. But I am wondering if you really need all that drag. It might give you serious shoulder problems if you freefly in it. Just my opinion. Worth what you paid for it of course ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear! -
You are joking, right? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

Make sure that the rig has had it's reserve pin check (unless you know for sure that it is the original reserve handle.) and that the main closing loop grommet has had it's mod. Also make sure the there has been a new line set or get one. Enjoy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that you don't read forums pertaining to how many firefighters got cooked that day, etc. Imagine if you read incident reports every evening for nationwide or even statewide traffic accidents. I think about my mortality EVERY day. I am the mother of a loving little three year old girl who really needs her mommy. I have seen lots of shit go down in this sport. I have lost friends and lovers. I have been hurt big time. You are a normal human being. With real feelings that are quite valid. Seems you have a respect for what we are doing. Take it day by day. Moment by moment. If the day comes when the joy doesn't balance or outweigh the pain, then hang it up. I hope you never loose respect for what you are doing. It helps you keep your edge. Follow your instincts. You know what you really want to do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

Also consider a Navigator by PD and the Solo by Aerodyne. I don't have experience with your sizes as flown by an experienced jumper, so I don't want to give ill advise. But if you speak with each of these manufacturers, they should be able to give you some helpful information. Make sure you refer to your condition. http://www.aerodyne-int.com http://www.performancedesigns.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

That is Miles Dasher formerly of Skydive Lake Tahoe currently Lodi, I believe. Now on a team called the Dust Devils. Photo looks like Tahoe, but it's grainy and hard to tell. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

You might have heard this before, but I think the name chooses the child. I was alwasy going to name my prospective girl Dakota. Then when I got pregnant I drew a blank. One day we were watching Leathal Weapon IV with Jet Li. I had just eaten and the baby was doing summer saults, and I said, "Slow down, Jet Li." Then my husband and I turned to each other and said, "Jett!" So the plan was Jett if it was a boy and ???? for a girl. As time passed Jett became Jett. Girl or Boy. I figured if it was a girl, I could always come up with a girly name for the middle. As it turned out Jett is a girl. My husband is a pilot, so I had a friend go to birthing classes with me. She helped deliver Jett. When she cut the cord, I looked at her and thought, "ELIZA" What a beautiful name. So long story, longer.... Jett became Jett Eliza. She suits her name perfectly. Fast as a Jett, but she has her sweet little Eliza Ballerina side to her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

Not sure if you mean the Pilot or the Smart. I jumped both in a 120 size. I weight about 150+ with gear. Both had great flare. Tip toe landings. The Pilot cannot be compared to any other main I have jumped. Certainly not the Hornet. After jumping the Hornet, I chose not to carry them in the shop. After watching them in the field, I continually reaffirmed my decision. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

Newbie or not. You shouldn't give mis information. Where did you get the idea that mini-risers were designs for aesthetics? Judging by your profile, you are not exactly and "Old-Timer". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
