BEST...THING...EVER except maybe good mexican authentic 'border' food. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

If it is free, go with it. A lot is personal preference. McAfee used to blow, but I have not touched it in years. So I imagine, for free it is pretty darn good. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Looks good to me! A few comments: Screw McAfee unless it is free. Otherwise spend $60 and buy Norton after the fact, unless you want it preconfig-ed. A second CD/DVD drive might come in handy, but you can always add it later. For $1500, I think you get a killer machine. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Well, poor little me has never done a kiss pass. Whatever reason, just was never in the sky with the right person. I plan on changing that though, and now with this running, jumping idea...sound like a good way. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Exactly, amazingly, my parents are running a thrice upgraded PC in an Old ZEOS 486 era full tower (my first PC :). I have hardened it, and it works well for them. But if that were not the case, I would be recommending Dell very quickly. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Can FF chicks even wear full face helmets?! I mean who throws a shoe honestly? You make a good point though, then I would just licking a face shield, making little mouth on glass faces....wait, that sounds kinda fun too

Honestly, I get this question all the time, and it really has different answers for everyone. But very often it goes like this: Just buy a Dell. You upgrade and have more control over the components, and maybe save money, although that is pretty dubious these days. OR, you can buy a dell with a warranty (typically includes onsite service) for $900, including a flat panel http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/featured_desktop2?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs It is just the simplest easiest solution. And if anything breaks, the come replace it. The main thing I would evaluate if you want to do vid work: MORE ram always, and a BIG harddrive if you plan storing a lot. The video card may play a part if you want to cap sources other than firewire. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

DUDE...this just seriously got added to my MUST do list. Wow..... Lucky for me, I know just the FF chick to ask... -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

ACDSee? Seems like it might be what you need, depending on your reqs. http://www.acdsystems.com/English/index.htm -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. -
Well I have nothing to base it on, but it appears based on friend's buying experiences that the waiting list has dropped to almost nothing depending on the model. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

I could so turn this into a politic semantics response Oh...so tempting. I said GROWTH, ie the numerb of units grew by 3%, where as in the past it grew by 5%. Similar growth statements are made about the economy sometimes. decreased growth is still a net increase. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
-
That is correct. A buddy of mine bought a bike this year, and the supply/demand/waiting was very different after the 100th anniversary. When I got mine you took what you could, if not the guy behind you wanted it. I think the demand has changed economically more than the production increased. Also, I remember reading numbers that growth as up in foreign markets while slightly down here, as well as the fact that 'merchandise' sales were growing hugely compared to bike sales. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Maybe the pilot was getting air-head...that always makes misfiring easy. Actually I would pay money to see the janitors reaction in the school. That would have been really hilarious in a twisted way. I bet I would have needed new underwear. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. -
It is interesting to me from a marketing standpoint. Because it appears....almost....as though these may be a response to some of the vintage looks on the market right now. Personally, I like the stock softail look and then customize from there. But....if these two really are a response to others on the market, it means a few things: 1. the imports have actually affected the mainstream giant 2. Harley wants all market segments. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Would give you a bit of a Heritage look. Might not be bad. Harley just came out with the Softail Deluxe that uses whitewalls. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

The bottom line is too each his own, and the motorcycle is the ultimate in custom expression. But I just don't like sportsters. They are spindly looking, and until 04 the tanks were just ugly. But then again that is my opinion. I like fat and low, and I hate seeing struts. So, yep I am a softail snob and I own a Fat Boy. It is not where I want it yet, but it is getting there. I am not sure they ever are completely finished. I still want legend air suspension, so I can ride 'chort' or carry gear. I just dig that fat retro look, and a sporty will never get it. But....we all need more than one anyway :) I have ridden with dave plenty, and his bike with no windsheild, burly guy in bandana looks as tough as mine :) Guys I work with, I am in the foreground: http://www.tripmaster.com/wildbunch.jpg -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

So, surely somewhere there is a pile of these things just begging for a retro jump. For sometime I have been throwing around the idea of a hybrid or freefly jump using Fuller's PC gear. This would add to it, plus I think they would look plain badass in the air. Imagine a still shot of guys in bag RWs with capewells and belly warts hanging stinger off some 4 way. That would sum up so much into one pic. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. -
During an IM conversation do you READ UP?
flyingferret replied to Girlfalldown's topic in The Bonfire
As a leftover from the IRC days, tend to handle scrolling conversations very well. In fact, there has been some contention in the past, as I am very comfortable and efficient in this medium, and sometimes people get flooded. AggieDave and I can IM at light speed.
