For you guys (& gals) who like to grill here's Maragarita Wings...it also tastes yummy with beer. I've made it to go with other finger foods. MARGARITA WINGS 3 lbs. (about 36) jumbo chicken wings 3 tbsp. lemon pepper 3 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 cup honey 3/4 cup prepared mustard 1/2 cup lime juice 1/4 cup gold tequila 3 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro 2 tbsp. hot sauce 1. Preheat grill to medium. Trim wings tips from wings, cut through the joint to separate winglets from drummette. Place wing pieces in large bowl, toss with lemon pepper and vegetable oil. 2. Place seasoned wings in a grill basket**; grill for 10-12 minutes per side, turning every 5-6 minutes, or until fully cooked, golden brown, and crisp. 3. To make margarita sauce, in large bowl, whisk together honey, mustard, lime juice, tequila, cilantro, and hot sauce; set aside. 4. Carefully remove wings from grill basket and add to margarita sauce. Toss well and serve. **if you don't have a grill basket, you can lay a sheet of aluminum on the grill and lay wings on top; whatever works. g
  2. I hear you...as a non-smoker that type of irresponsible behavior really annoys me. Worst yet...you're riding on the dz tram to catch the next otter load (after running off the landing area trying to catch the tram cause we're doing back-to-back team training jumps...trying to catch your breath in the process)...a jumper is smoking en route to the next load...some of us trying to avoid inhaling the smoke, politely telling him to please not smoke on the tram, and then after he takes another five drags, he flicks the cigarette out into the dry desert grass. Not cool all the way around.
  3. The battle against cigarette litter can only be won if smokers join the fight together. Of course, there are millions of smokers who don't litter their cigarettes, and are actively spreading the word to fellow smokers not to litter. Unfortunately, they are still a small minority. If you are a considerate smoker who doesn't litter, THANK YOU! Please continue setting a positive example. Remember: CIGARETTES ARE NOT BIODEGRADABLE! Sorry for the all-caps, but this is a gigantic myth. g
  4. Here's the Federal Pell Grant's website: http://www.studentaid.ed.gov/students/publications/student_guide/2003_2004/english/types.htm This is what is on the website concerning your questions: How will I be paid? Your school may credit the Pell Grant funds to your school account, pay you directly (usually by check), or combine these methods. The school must tell you in writing how and when you’ll be paid and how much your Pell Grant will be. Schools must pay you at least once per term (semester, trimester, or quarter). Schools that don’t use formally defined, traditional terms must pay you at least twice per academic year.*

Andi...girlfriend...what happened???? I'm sooo sorry to hear about your landing accident. Just want you to know I'm thinking about you. Hang in there and heal with haste. Tons of energy coming your way. hugs... Gloria
  7. That's a good one! I'll vote for Ted!...he's an awesome guitarist. I was the U.S. Team Spanish Liaison/Omniskore Assistant during the 2000 World Meet in Spain. During that trip Ted had a custom guitar made by one of the leading guitar makers in Granada...that whole interpreting experience was hilarious. If you ever see Ted...get him to tell you the story and what he put me through to get this special guitar...Spanish police, money/banks, narrow brick streets with cyclist...what a comedy
  8. My “abuelita” (Spanish for grandmother) used to be revered for her wisdom, accumulated from, believe me, years of experience. Those years were the repository of family histories and Spanish lore, medical knowledge, and child rearing information. I truly valued the vast storehouse of knowledge she had to offer. Even though your grandmother has reached the age of gray hair and wrinkles…it sounds like she still has a lot of beauty and dignity. Also sounds like you have a cool family. P.S. If I’m not mistaken…I think September 7 is “Grandparents Day” ;-) …CELEBRATE!
