CAR AUDIO People, what to look for when looking at speakers
nebula replied to Viking's topic in The Bonfire
I got a kenwood KDC 5019 SIRIUS ready, 2 pionners 6x9" 300W 4 ways mounted in the back (Left/Right) and a infinity subroofer 10" (in the middle back) - I have a 450SL which has only 2 seats so my speakers and sub are in the back. I like the sound and the most important for me was to be able to have a great sound while driving without the top. That system ROCKS! Budget wise that is a great CD/radio/sound system (as long as you install it yourself) cost you no more than $510 tax included. ( I am sure that it is cheaper now) Although I am a girl and doesn't have lots of tech knowledge on this stuff, I truly believe that a sub is necessary, not matter what. Just my 2 cents and happy to share my stuff too ! I spent so many hours/days installing that system. Not only I saved money but learn something which makes me happy ! so long and good luck PS : Siri (symbol) is a good investment too, but long term (not a swing, not a short term but a 5 years long term ones..) if you are into investing well trust this one and get into it. But buy when time is right ...... just being cool tonight and giving out my trading tips !!!! :) -
Hi I am new too and I am actually reading "Mental training for Skydiving and Life" John J DeRosalia. Not only should we be reading the technical aspect of skydiving but mental as well. This book describes the psychological aspects of learning skydiving well. Everybody should read this book just for improvement. Jackie

New to Skydive- taking AFF in San Diego
nebula replied to nebula's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hello Everyone Well, I got a challenge a month ago from bigheaded people telling me I would not be able to jump from a plane. Guess what, I am not a big headed one but I couldn't take their Sh.. anymore. Thus, instead of taking the tandem and static as they did, I took the freefall one thinking it would be more challenging. Hey, I was not good at all, sorry for Jennifer and Gregg (best skydiver' coach in SD) who had to deal with me, but I did jump and I am proud of it. Now, here is the problem, I want to jump again to see if I am able to do it with a clear mind (I didn't think at all when I jump the first time, blank brain, no thoughts passing through). I have decided to take the AFF and go even further since this thing is taking my brain big time. I do not want to bother any of you, but I have to say that although I had no fear nor even any sensation while taking off from the plane, I am a little concerned about the fact that my body was extremely unstable on the air ( I watched the VHS so many times and saw my legs moving all over, although I arched, my body was so unstable). I think Gregg did a good job trying to get me in the right posture but what if I am alone and can't control my movement ? Also, when Jen pulled out the ripcord, Gregg had to shake up my body in order to open the canopy... that scared me..... can somebody tell me why this happened and how to handle this situation when you are by yourself ? Q/A : Should I always jump with the same coach (I am planning of taking the AFF + 5 to 10 coach jumps) ? What are the advices you can give me mental wise ? Any advices on body position, stability, landing is also appreciated. Do you think that anybody can jump (like me) ? how did you know you were meant to be a skydiver ? Hey, just asking..... Thanks to all who will take their time to answer. Ps : Sorry for my bad French ! Bisous Jackie
