  5. So, your solution is to allow the ENEMIES to kill innocent civilians because they are in their country? We tried that and got flamed for it, anyway. You are so out of your mind if you think US and allied troops go in their killing everything that moves. I see you agenda is clear. Thank you for identifiying yourself. I would think they are setting IED's to kill the military that invaded a soverign nation rather then their own civilians. I wish the military guys the best tho being put in the fucked up position they've been put in by some SAD leadership/politicians in the USA I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

  13. That is what I would like to know: is it the police that makes you feel unsafe or is it somethin else? BTW, a very good percentage of Tijuana residents do not trust the police (that includes me). Traditionaly, you don't have to be drunk to be a target in TJ. It's all in the license plates! They see US license plates and they immediately see $$$. Take the bus over. Stay away from the cops and most people on the streets. Just nod and walk on. No problemo I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.
  14. ___________________________________ Hmmmm... I've been in both, Detroit and Tijuana. I think I prefer... neither! Just too many people! Chuck Hey. I like TJ. Where can you get a BJ while eating a taco while getting a massage and your shoes shined and having a drink. ALL at the same time. For cheap too!

  17. Sometimes nothing is the right decision. You can insert yourself into a situation that you're really not required in, or you can let the situation play itself out. It's not always the wrong or chicken thing to do. Try having kids sometime and you'll begin to see that one . That said, while I do believe in a God, I also believe that my life is largely in my own hands, and that it's my greatest gift to myself and to others. How to make hard decisions? Sometimes they're made for me; I'm really not in charge. Generally, I'm happier if, like unformed up there, I take the decision that scares me more. It's a more interesting outcome, and one that challenges me more. Most of the time it's not that hard. Because, well, there is a good path possible from nearly every decision, and the real key is figuring that when you've changed your path, then you have to commit to the new one. You can't unmake a decision. But if you don't like the new path, it's not hard to pick a new direction if you do it early. Wendy W. Good answer on the do nothing. One of my daughters (middle name spelled w/ a capital T, almost 30 yrs old) threatened to kill herself a month ago. My son did so last yr. I had the option of A> call the police and have her locked up and lose her kid or B> do nothing and let her do it if she so decided. I'm on the losing end either way. She'll hate me forever sitting locked up or her death might be on my conscience for the rest of my life. I let the powers that be handle that one and did nothing and all is well. FOR NOW As far as other life decisions. I sleep on em and make a gut call. Depends on how you where reared and what your morals and values are I guess. W/ age DOES come wisdom. The older I get the more I know how much I DON'T know. I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

  20. Damn those evil Canadians! Darius doesn't like us holding the terrorist-suspect prisoners in Gitmo. Well, this one we sent back to his home country. And now Darius doesn't like us sending terrorist-suspects back home. So, Darius, exactly what would you like America to do with them? Oh, and do you have any condemnation for Syria for committing the acts of torture? There were three nations involved in this man's treatment. Canada, which gave bad intelligence info about him. The U.S. which simply deported him to his home country. And Syria, which tortured him. And yet your criticism is only against the United States, which did relatively nothing wrong to the man, compared to Canada, and especially Syria. So, Darius, why this selective bias against the U.S.? SO. Knowing Syria would torture him we send him there. Why not interrogate him here? Just like the CIA secret prisons we have overseas. (so they can do what they want to w/o violating U.S law. (Screw international law eh?) Bunch a bullshit if you ask me. How would you feel if YOU were the innocent party being tortured? 21. If this Q is too personal, just say so, but what made you realize you wanted to change? and furthermore, what did you do to change? Was it intervention from friends/family? or just you had the inner strength to realize that you didn't want to live like that anymore? I can answer that one from personal experience. I fully quit (smoking the coke) when I started skydiving. Junkies have the same brain problems (not sure if it's a problem it just needs to be channeled in the right direction) as risk takers. I got the high I got from drugs only naturally. I think I spent more money on skyding than I did on drugs in, say, an equal time period but I was (am) way happier. Cooler people and such. (Except for those pesky skygods) I haven't jumped in a bit but I'm drug free. And I NEVER EVER stole from anyone for my habit. Begged and borrowed and spent my paychecks. Just like skydiving. LOL I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.
  22. Actually, if the stuff is in one bag (not separate bags), they can't get you with intent to distribute. You can claim personal use, as long as all of it is in one bag. Wow. La. has some pretty lenient pot laws considering quantities>Cash crop According to NORML, marijuana is Louisiana's 6th largest cash crop –after rice, but before sweet potatoes. But for street price per production dollar, marijuana is #1. Penalties Marijuana is classified as a Schedule I, Hallucinogenic substance. The possession of marijuana is treated a little differently than the possession of other Schedule I drugs (many of which carry life sentences). Unlike most states, the amount of marijuana in possession, as long as it is less than sixty pounds, does not matter. The penalties for possession are: First offense: five hundred dollars and/or up to six months in jail. Second offense: two thousand dollars and/or up to five years in jail. Third offense: up to twenty years in jail. Conviction for the possession of other Schedule I drugs can be considered in determining prior convictions for possession of marijuana. Possession of sixty pounds but less than two thousand pounds: not less than ten years up to sixty years. Possession of two thousand pounds but less than ten thousand pounds: not less than twenty years up to eighty years. Possession of ten thousand pounds or more: not less than fifty years up to eighty years. 23. This guys seems to know> Analyst predicts plunge in gas prices By Kevin G. Hall McClatchy Newspapers WASHINGTON — The recent sharp drop in the global price of crude oil could mark the start of a massive sell-off that returns gasoline prices to lows not seen since the late 1990s — perhaps as low as $1.15 a gallon. "All the hurricane flags are flying" in oil markets, said Philip Verleger, a noted energy consultant who was a lone voice several years ago in warning that oil prices would soar. Now, he says, they appear to be poised for a dramatic plunge. Crude-oil prices have fallen about $14, or roughly 17 percent, from their July 14 peak of $78.40. After falling seven straight days, they rose slightly Wednesday in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, to $63.97, partly in reaction to a government report showing fuel inventories a bit lower than expected. But the overall price drop is expected to continue, and prices could fall much more in the weeks and months ahead. Here's why: For most of the past two years, oil prices have risen because the world's oil producers have struggled to keep pace with growing demand, particularly from China and India. Spare oil-production capacity grew so tight that market players feared that any disruption to oil production could create shortages. Fear of disruption focused on fighting in Nigeria, escalating tensions over Iran's nuclear program, violence between Israel and Lebanon that might spread to oil-producing neighbors, and the prospect that hurricanes might topple oil facilities in the Gulf of Mexico. Oil traders bet that such worrisome developments would drive up the future price of oil. Oil is traded in contracts for future delivery, and companies that take physical delivery of oil are just a small part of total trading. Large pension and commodities funds are the big traders and they're seeking profits. They've sunk $105 billion or more into oil futures in recent years, according to Verleger. Their bets that oil prices would rise in the future bid up the price of oil. That, in turn, led users of oil to create stockpiles as cushions against supply disruptions and even higher future prices. Now inventories of oil are approaching 1990 levels. But many of the conditions that drove investors to bid up oil prices are ebbing. Tensions over Israel, Lebanon and Nigeria are easing. The hurricane season has presented no threat so far to the Gulf of Mexico. The U.S. peak summer driving season is over, so gasoline demand is falling. With fear of supply disruptions ebbing, oil prices began sliding. With oil inventories high, refiners that turn oil into gasoline are expected to cut production. As refiners cut production, oil companies increasingly risk getting stuck with excess oil supplies. There's already anecdotal evidence of oil companies chartering tankers to store excess oil. All this is turning financial markets increasingly bearish on oil. "If we continue to build inventories, and if we have a warm winter like we had last winter, you could see a large fall in the price of oil," said Gary Pokoik, who manages Hedge Ventures Energy in Los Angeles, an energy hedge fund. "I think there is still a lot of risk in the market." As it stands now, the recent oil-price slump has brought the national average for a gallon of unleaded gasoline down to $2.59, according to the AAA motor club. In the Seattle area, prices per gallon have fallen to $2.856 currently from $3.071 a month ago, a decline of 7 percent, according to AAA. Should oil traders fear that this downward price spiral will get worse and run for the exits by selling off their futures contracts, Verleger said, it's not unthinkable that oil prices could return to $15 or less a barrel, at least temporarily. That could mean gasoline prices as low as $1.15 per gallon. Other experts won't guess at a floor price, but they agree that a race to the bottom could break out. "The market may test levels here that are too low to be sustained," said Clay Seigle, an analyst at Cambridge Energy Research Associates, a consultancy in Boston. On Monday, the oil-producing cartel OPEC hinted that if prices fall precipitously, OPEC members would cut production to lift them. But that would take time. "That takes six to nine months. If we don't have a really cold winter here [creating a demand for oil], prices will fall. Literally, you don't know where the floor is," Verleger said. "In a market like this, if things start falling ... prices could take you back to the 1999 levels. It has nothing to do with production." 24. Some folks like being tied to a bed while a dominatrix whips them. Can we safely asume that animals would not mind that? Richards You ASSume that the paint is a petroleum product. Maybe it's water based and hoses off. Elephants like being hosed down. I'm sure it was a water based paint. if it was oil based then it could/would be toxic and animal abuse. prolly does like the hose job. might even be edible paint kinda like those edible panties I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.
