If someone has !0 million in the bank they have already paid the tax on it once. Not if they inherit it, or get it from investing. I know, you're going to say if they inherit it then tax has already been paid on it. But that's the nature of taxation. It's the transfer of wealth that is taxed, as it has to be. The economy is a closed system. If you elliminate tax because "that money has already been taxed" then eventually, there won't be any money that qualifies. I said that if you have 10 million in the bank, you have already paid the tax. If you inherit it it isn't in the bank. Ya'll act like Sharon and the hardliners are innocent? If Arafat goes, so should Sharon. I think a good clearing out of BOTH sides is in order. Sharon certainly has a very active military history stretching back 20+ years against the PLO. The main difference is that Israelis are not disguising themselves as Muslims, strapping on explosives and detonating them during a call to prayer in a Mosque. Unlike the PLO, Israel's government changes leadership. The PLO doesn't understand that Arafat is a relic with no desire for peace, or even a Palestinian state. Same with Hamas. The charters of both these organizations is hinged upon the complete annihilation of non-muslims or Israelis alike. You can't bargain with that, sooner or later a western politician is going to come to terms with that. How true. I don't think that there can be peace until someone wins the fight.
