  1. Making a joke ...forgot the "". Sorry.
  2. Not from where I see it. It's more than just a couple of people who suspect this. As for proof, quiet collusion between nations happens all the time, but the hard proof of it rarely is in the public light of day while the events are still in play. Maybe someone could uncover that quiet collusion with some sort of documents leak that would then be exposed publicly.
  3. According to Wiki: "The term hooligan has been used since at least the mid 1890s—when it was used to describe the violent nature of a small population of venomous beavers...." So "hooliganism" may be an appropriate criminal charge for a band named "Pussy Riots". I dunno ...the penalty seems a little stiff.
  4. OK, if we're through dissecting the etymological origins of "hooligan" (and other words), I was just commenting out loud about where different governments draw the line between lawful protest and criminal dissent or other "physical" activism. Here in the US the line appears to be much farther up the scale towards the riot/vandalism end. Here, the church may have even been in trouble for suppressing the "band's" 1st Amendment rights. (Yes, I know it is not about offending the Russian Orthodox Church, but is actually about the public derision of Putin.) No disrespect meant toward the Vandals.
  5. I'm sure you understand that I am referring only to the radical Hooliganists ...the fundamentalist, violent followers of Hooliganism. We all know that 99% of Hooligans are peace-loving contributors to society and are committed to the advancement of whirled peas. If we could only get them to speak out against the Hooliganists [/sigh].
  6. Really? How much more is there to discuss about Biden that will hold someone's attention?
  7. Precisely why I framed the "question" like I did.
  8. against "Hooliganism"? Would that even be Constitutional? Are Hooliganists protected under the 1st Amendment?
  9. You really can't help yourself, can you? Do you think Biden is capable of assuming the role of President if something were to happen to Obama? Did you think Palin was capable of assuming the role of President if something were to have happened to McCain? Is this thread about Palin? Have the stones to answer the question. Capable? ...who knows? No one knew whether Obama would be in over his head or not when he was elected, either. Qualified? ...waaaay more qualified than Obama.
  10. If you think you should have to show ID to buy a gun or show ID to vote, why would showing an ID to say start a newspaper, or showing an ID to a cop when you are on the corner publicly speaking be such a crazy idea? If you start a business (newspaper) you will verify your identity. You do not need to verify your identity (or citizenship) to exercise free speech here unless you charge a fee for someone to listen to you. You do need to be identified as a citizen (so far) to vote. We have decided (through regulation by the BATF) that you do need to verify your ID to legally purchase a firearm.
  11. There's a folksong/ballad in this story somewhere.
  12. The point is, Obama won't put a plan out there for us to look at. Strange youu would think it's more important for a guy who is runnung for President to present a more detailed budget but are OK with the guy who is President using smoke and mirrors. *sigh* I never said it was ok the Dems didn't have a good plan. In fact, I called it pathetic in the very post you responded to. That said it STILL doesn't make the Ryan "plan" any better. It's more like the Ryan "idea/concept". When it comes to details, no-one seems to be delivering the specifics on the HOW. That's the problem. Ian Well, how the heck are we supposed to know what's in it unless we pass it? (I think that's the new standard.)
  13. It's exactly the opposite. Sounds like fascist drivel to me. Actually, no, Ron was right - it's communist drivel. Communist/Fascist ~ Sally/Sue
  14. Did Romney get that memo? "Join me, in welcoming the next president of the United States, Paul Ryan." -Mitt Romney, August 11, 2012. History really does repeat itself!
  15. We should name that place "Roswell".
  16. I saw these guys along with Foghat at Big Surf in AZ around 71 or 72. I think Humble Pie and Foghat meet the specs (except for the "weren't so well known" and the "not really on the radio" parts.)
  17. You might like Wishbone Ash or Uriah Heep.

Fear itself. Or so I've heard.

    They Won!

Being a fully clothed male standing in the midst of twenty naked women isn't exactly winning. Ain't exactly losing, either.

    They Won!

I think the guy in the middle is the real winner!
  21. Jump #16. GlidePath Maverone. 1st Hop 'n' Pop. I passed the d-bag sideways through the risers before closing. Something didn't "look right" and instead of asking I thought I'd just fix it myself. When it opened I knew right away what I did wrong. Cut it away at 2500'. I probably wouldn't have chopped it now given experience and the same "mal". My only other two cutaways were lineovers.
  22. Only if you used your ginger baker.
