Yeah, but what a tragic waste. All that HP could have been used for going really, really fast.

The borders which weren't good enough prior to 1967? The borders, which prior to 1967, defined parts of 3 different sovereign nations (none of them Israel ...nor "Palestine") which attacked Israel from day 1 until 1967 with no intention of offering that land to the Pals? It has never been about the Palestinians. It is about eradicating any idea of non-Islamic rule over any part of any land which had previously been under Islamic tyranny at any time. (Spain? Sicily? ...only a matter of time. There is no schedule.)

It is Time to Repeal the First Amendment [on topic]

We're not supposed to have a ruler. But if we did, he would insinuate himself slowly. Scary thought, that! Exactly! (and I said "ruler" intentionally) -

If the 1st Amendment were repealed or never ratified, would you not still be a citizen under the Constitution that WAS ratified? First, I think that the country and the Constitution would have soon "perished from the earth", and Second, my grandparents probably wouldn't have bothered making the trip over here. -

A smart ruler would not allow the 1st to be repealed. Just continue its incremental erosion, whether by legislation, regulation, decree or fatwa. The masses are then fooled into thinking the 1st Amendment (and by extension, the republic) is still relevant. But to answer the question ...no ... because the American concept of "citizenship" would cease to exist. -

Just to let you know, I'm stealing that. I've waited two years for a sig line, and that's it. Interesting... Are those two Dodge Vipers in your profile pic? This is completely off topic. -
IMO, anchovies fall more into the "herbs and spices" category rather than the "toppings" category. Like a lot of non-Italians overuse garlic, anchovies can also be overused.

Now, that might make some lawyer's job a little easier!

Man z-hills looked really different back then. This was at Phoenix/Zhills. Next door to Skydive City. (yes, two major DZs within spitting distance of each other ...complete with all the drama you would expect from that arrangement).

Not in 'Merica There are many accepted uses of words that vary from ("English"-speaking) country to country. Stick that in your "bonnet", or whatever you call your hood. I'd like to add that among other "Britisms" recently making their way into American English common usage are: "in hospital" ...folks over here are "in the hospital". And the one that really grates is "went missing". ...and it's "counter-clockwise" not "anti-clockwise".

Well, point in fact: it is. Anyhow, as the Brits taught us: you can't have your cake and eat it, too. Physically impossible. Except when it isn't. delta x * delta p >or= h/4pi Sometimes you have to think inside the box.

List of Jumpers I Should Have Heard of...?
muff528 replied to Namowal's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I haven't seen Jake Brake mentioned. Lots of film credits for stunts and "specialty" rigging and acting dating back over 20 years. Earlier contributions to R&D and testing. Golden Knight. Has quietly done a lot of amazing stuff with little recognition, even within the skydiving community. -
5. We all will make mistakes. The key is to recognize them and admit them, to learn from them, and to take off the rear view mirrors—drive on and avoid making them again.

Here's my favorite video. Nothing special about the skydive ....just havin' some fun.

37 years 2-3 pk/day. Quit cold turkey in 2006. I choked on the 2 or 3 cigs I've tried to smoke since then. Can't stand to be around them now. The price of a single pack in Florida now would have bought almost 3 cartons when I started smoking.
