Yes. But you left out the other part of economics: COST. The more something costs, the less likely there will be DEMAND for it. Thus, there must be a DEMAND for labor. As the cost of labor increases, demand for labor decreases. Thus, spending for labor decreases. Ergo, unemployment and underemployment are not decreased. This is consistent with the above quoted statement. Why do you fail to put in the other side of the equation? Because rich folk don't need to worry about the cost of anything. It's the same business model used by the government, GM, USPS, etc.

His scooter does appear to have a pillion.

Going to the dz and finding it closed is like....
muff528 replied to cocheese's topic in The Bonfire
That happened to me once. I think it was 4th of July or Labor Day. Some nonsense about the plane. So I helped the pilot fiddle with the engine on the old Beech for a couple of hours and then I just walked next door to the other DZ and made a couple of jumps. -
What is Zero G's, Negative G's, and some examples?

This can't possibly be the same guy ...unless he is so tangled up in superstrings and black holes that he has completely forgotten Newton. (maybe his real name is "Sheldon".) -
Yes, "guesstimate" for total capacity for solar seems to be ~5000 MW (+ unreported small installations

Well, tossing the room from a balloon or airplane implies that the room will be descending through "air". A person inside the room will remain on the "floor" throughout the descent. Even if the room does not reach v(t) it is still impeded by the air. The passenger is not. ETA - that is, if the room is not a screen room. -
Like I said, smoke and mirrors. esoteric data means nothing to regular people. None of this makes me, my neighbors, my friends feel better about BHO. None of these figures make "real" uplifting news. It's like the quarterback that passed for 300 yards but lost the game. Interpretation: Facts mean absolutely nothing to GOP supporters. All that matters is to make Obama a one term president regardless of the damage they do to the country in the process. The "2011 Q4 776" Megawatt output (presumably the nationwide total) is about the amount of electricity produced by a single small-city power plant. For example, Lakeland Electric, Lakeland, Florida, is capable of producing about 1100-1200 MW (Solar contribution is expected to be 5-6 MW with current plans). The 120 TWh for the wind generation installations represents about 3% of total (~4000 TWh) electricity consumption in the US for 2011. IMO neither failure nor success at this point, but it does represent the beginnings of an "all of the above" approach to energy supported by most folks, Dems and Repubs. But right now it's small potatoes and I'd guess we are going to be dependent on traditional sources for some time ...no matter who is running the country.

Well, God knows that Spain doesn't need any places where rich foreigners can go to spend their money.

This has got to be the dumbest idea anyone has come up with yet. Once it's legal they are all going to want to try to charge for it.

I'm not sure about Bigfoot season. Down here in these parts (Green Swamp) we have the Skunk Ape. Come to think about it, I don't know anything about Skunk Ape season either.

What does it take to be charged with Terrorism in the USA?
muff528 replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
But still, mostly lone crazys that would not have been "mapped" as terrorist organizations. Hindsight probably would show that some did need to be tracked although that might raise Constitutionality questions ....Patriot Act comes to mind. BTW - I agree that the group at Ft. Stewart is a terrorist group and should be treated as such. But I'm not sure that a group can "legally" be considered a terrorist group until an act of terrorism is committed. So far they are only charged with "malice murder, felony murder, criminal gang activity, aggravated assault and using a firearm while committing a felony". They are also described as an "anarchist" anti-government group. I have read an article or blog that tries to tie the head honcho to the Republican Party since he allegedly served as a page at the 2008 RNC. That would be like someone trying to tie the Democrat Party to the KKK terrorist organization since Robert Byrd played a major role at some their conventions. -
What does it take to be charged with Terrorism in the USA?

Good point, I see where you are coming from now. From my point of view, since 9-11 terrorists are Islamic extremists. Domestic terrorists are rednecks that commit a crime of violence. Those are different mental profiles in my thinking. Now that I think about it, prior to 9-11 I thought of terrorists as Palestinians who attacked Israel and highjacked airliners and cruise ships. Domestic terrorism is a new mental concept for me. Just copied from a news article: "The FBI defines domestic terrorism as acts by U.S.-based individuals or groups that involve violence against the populace or government, without 'foreign direction'.” By this definition it would seem that the Ft. Hood shootings are foreign-directed terrorism since the shooter was obviously influenced by "global jihad" (IMO). Of course the administration does not recognize this attack as "terrorism" but just another moonbat shooting. Skyrad - Yep, there have been plenty of terrorist attacks on US soil against Muslims since 9/11. I was fixated on the high-profile shootings and did not consider the acts of murder and vandalism against Muslims and others. These are acts of terrorism. But Ron's map does not pinpoint the location of someone who might act alone. -

Other than isolated lefty nutcases, which "domestic terror attacks" since 9/11 (or before that for that matter) are you referring to? -
What does it take to be charged with Terrorism in the USA?
muff528 replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
Good question! We have one terrorist (whose organization actually carried out bombings of the Capitol and the Pentagon) who is now Associate Professor of Law at Northwestern University School of Law. Her husband, who also was a member of the same terrorist organization, is now a professor at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He also is alleged to have personal and political ties to the current President of the US. Go figure! -
Looks like the Big Guy is shooting for the Urban Renewal Trifecta ....New Orleans-St. Louis-Chicago! (maybe Detroit, too.)

It would be a logistics nightmare. Not that simple for an event of this scale. Venues for various functions are spread throughout the Tampa Bay area and have been reserved for months. They may not become available at the same time without advanced planning. Delegates have to return to their jobs. Security, road closings, etc. have been planned for this week. Businesses in the area have either geared up for the influx of people or have otherwise made plans with regard to the event. The number I heard was that 50k people who are somehow associated with the event are set to arrive and may not be able to reschedule for one reason or another. Hookers and exotic dancers have already begun to arrive and they also would have to upset their normal business schedule ...not to mention the protesters who also have other places to be at other times. All the balloons would have to be deflated wasting perfectly good air. I'm sure the same problems would prevent the DNC from simply being able to reschedule.

Looks like God has decided to pass over the Repubrews and smite the Nawlinites again. I sure hope Scotty has their coordinates this time.

When will the NRA be designated as a Terrorist Organization???

How about the AARP? Their own members die by the thousands daily. -
So... the first man on the moon was a Canadian! One small step, eh! It all makes sense now. "Well, I dreamed I saw the silver spaceships flying In the yellow haze of the sun There were children crying and colors flying All around the chosen ones All in a dream, all in a dream The loading had begun Flying Mother Nature's silver seed to a new home in the sun" I wonder if he saw Alice there?

Irrelevant. God only punishes fags. It's right there in the Bible. No - God also punishes people who wear cotton-poly blends. See? There really some useful wisdom in the Bible. I can see where there may be some confusion here. I think the word for "fag" and the word for "he who wears cotton/polyester blends" are the same in the ancient Akkadian language. A simple translation mix-up. I believe the same word was even used for "freestyle skydiver".

Would you consider 1st Sunset Load a beer event?
muff528 replied to rifleman's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
By the time you get down from the sunset load all the beer bought by others is going to be gone. You figure it out.
