  1. The intent was prevention of a government that stopped listening to its people. Handguns are the answer to that now. People walking down the street with a rifle stand out rather brightly, don't make for stealthy revolutionaries. I don't know that I agree. If we're ever in a real, open revolution situation (and I sincerely hope I never have to live through that), I can tell you that my handguns will be staying in the safe. Revolutions involve honest-to-god military conflict, and for that sort of thing a rifle is going to be in much greater demand. I don't know if I agree even with that and perhaps it's time to qualify this amendment to modern times. It should read "..the right to bear arms, nuclear attack subs, aircraft carriers, big fuckin' tanks, and wicked helicopters with night vision." Hey, I'm just sayin. If we're following the intent of the original document then those are the only things that will allow this militia to do anything. It'll take more than a bunch of kids yelling WOLVERINES!!!! I bet the Russians felt the same in the 80's www.FourWheelerHB.com
  2. Yup but the Ducks only need 1 win or 2 points to clinch. Remaining games are vs Stars and Coyotes. Considering their gameplay...we got it. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  3. The only wasy that's going to happen is if the Sharks are lucky enough to avoid the ducks through the playoffs. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  4. Coincidently I play NHL09 on Xboxlive with that guy's cousin whom I've known for a few years now. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  5. I wouldn't recommend messing with the battery. Try this www.FourWheelerHB.com
  6. Random aside: Since my last post in this thread I went out and purchased a couple of these. It took a lot less than 10 days. Neener, neener! Now I just need to move to Canada so I can get a Tavor. Oh yeah? Well we can skydive year round here! So there! www.FourWheelerHB.com
  7. 1. He's not "my guy" -- I didn't vote for him. In fact I am appalled at his wreckless spending, which his predecessor initiated. 2. I'm not doing anything for "my guy" -- certainly not defending him. I simply don't give a shit because this controversy is utterly meaningless. His bow will not affect anything in our everyday lives. I expected him to be smarter than to give a bullshit explanation for what looked like an obvious bow. But again, I simply don't care about his gesture to the king. However, I still think that he's heaps smarter than the last guy. Still doesn't mean he's "my guy." I agree wholeheartedly with that, and I've been voting third party for as long as I've been voting. Unfortunately, the rest of the nation hasn't followed suit and it looks like they won't for a very long time. Perhaps I only notice when you defend him as this is the first time I've seen you unhappy with anything Obama has done. Hence why I called him "your guy." I also do not care about the bow but it is part of what appears to be a developing pattern. Its only been 2 months and he's (or his Administration) already gaffed internationally quite a bit. And let's not forget he put a crook in charge of our treasury. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  8. The perfect example of why less is more when it comes to government. And yet some people still want them in charge of our health care. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  9. Holy shit! I actually bursted out into laughter when she clapped! "uh no that is the opposite of what's good" Hilarious www.FourWheelerHB.com
  10. IF! Not likely to happen tho www.FourWheelerHB.com
  11. I agree. I think all of the odious parts could easily go away if a person was simply required to have a license. The reason all of those things are in place right now is because a license doesn't exist and they're the only tools at hand. And that's the problem.... gun controllers would never give up anything. They just want to add and restrict as much as possible. I would oppose any licensing program proposal. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  12. If we had a licensing program then we wouldn't need background checks for every purchase, a waiting period, or gun registration. Exchange all three of those and I'll be happy having a license. Here's some info on a similar system already in place. http://safety.transportation.org/htmlguides/USR/intro.htm www.FourWheelerHB.com
  13. My analogy? You brought up driving the wrong way on the highway, not me. Link, because your memory is so short. You brought up licensing which doesn't exist in the firearm world Just because you don't like the direction YOUR analogy took, doesn't mean it was a bad analogy. Good point. My wording was horrible so let's focus on that rather than my actual point. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  14. So because it's not a rampant problem, it's best to do nothing? Do you regulate it to make it safer? No. As a business owner, do you look at ways of preventing something like this from happening again? Absolutely. Somewhere between the two extremes of "Ban guns" and "Do Nothing", there has to be something.... Yes. That's right. Do nothing other than discuss solutions for when it does become a problem. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  15. How's this? If you can't legally own a handgun, you can't shoot at a range. No drop in customers unless you are pre checked. Come in, fill out a background check, we'll call you when you are approved. Will that completely eliminate the risk? Of course not. Would it have prevented this incident from happening the way it did? Most probably. Unless of course she did the background check prior to actually being involuntarily commited. Shall we have to submit to background checks every year? That being said I think it's an excellent suggestion IF this were a rampant problem. As of right now it isn't. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  16. My analogy? You brought up driving the wrong way on the highway, not me. Link, because your memory is so short. You brought up licensing which doesn't exist in the firearm world www.FourWheelerHB.com
  17. your analogy is really bad. So what do you suggest we do? I prefer an answer beyond "something" or "anything." thanks in advance.
  18. And you are doing the same for your guy. Par for the course. Personally, I expect our country's leadership to be smarter than that regardless of their political affiliation. The deomocrats AND republicans will be the downfall of our nation. I think its time we dump them. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  19. Not quite what I said. It's one thing if someone takes themselves out, it's another if they take out others. I know what you said but if you can't stop someone from killing themselves how are ya gonna prevent someone from shooting others? Unless of course you do what Mike suggests and only allow 1 person in the range at a time. There is a point where fantasy must give way to reality. The reality is you can not stop this from happening no more than you can stop people from getting on the freeway going the wrong direction. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  20. Don't feel to bad, non Americans make allowances for y'all Yup...we're the Forrest Gump of the world. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  21. Then you wouldn't have a range. A few months ago here in Huntington Beach a local killed himself at our range. He was a regular there with a membership. He rented a .357 and purchased 200 rounds of ammo. He fired every single round. The last one went in his head. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  22. Productively? Really? Sorry but I have to laugh at that because I can think of nothing more productive than actually paying attention to your driving not to mentions others' driving as well. Personally, I can drive while doing all those things as well but I am a far better driver when I'm focused on driving and only driving. EVERYONE is. So I keep my distractions to a minimum because I owe it to not only myself, but my passengers and other random people occupying the roads around me. That being said, you have convinced me legislation is not the answer. So Radios should be banned too? Where did I suggest banning anything? My problem is people don't take driving seriously. This is a personal responsibility thing to me. People just need to STFU and drive. Is that too much to ask? www.FourWheelerHB.com
  23. IF you had a range, someone would commit suicide with one of your rentals regardless of the measures you took. www.FourWheelerHB.com
