That's awesome! I wanted to be a fighter jock too but athsma as a young child pretty much screwed me over on that one. So I became a CH-53 crew chief in the USMC instead. A dream came true when I got to play in the Nellis AFB range for a week playing sitting duck for a squadron of F-15s. www.FourWheelerHB.com

I saw a lot of cool things as an Air Force brat. - Got to sit in the ready room during the pilot briefing for Red Flag at Nellis AFB. - Got to sit in the Range Control room as they simulated combat during Red Flag. - Saw a B-1 rotate over 90 degrees while turning base in the pattern at Langley. - 30 minutes in an F-15 simulator at Langley. Toggle cursor over blip. Push button. Locked on target. Too easy. - Saw an F-14 buzz the carrier deck at the speed of sound at approx. 500 feet above deck level...and I was standing on the flight deck! It was family day on the USS Independance and the fly by was quite the treat. - At a Langley AFB base commander retirement ceremony (at dusk) two F-15s did a fly by in formation, pulling straight up directly above the ceremony as they lit their afterburners. - Seen flying numerous different aircraft including the SU-27, Mig-29, F-117, and B-2. - Shared the pattern with numerous different aircraft while piloting a cessna-172. - not to mention the many air shows. Even though I had to find new friends every 3 years, I wouyldn't trade growing up as an AF brat for anything. Thanks for sharing the pic.
