i know the feeling, had my car stolen 2 times!!! Got it back the first time after a long process of replacing everything on it, the body frame was fine, just everything inside/tires/etc were gone. After all that waiting around for 3 months or so, got it back and yep...25 days..i mean 25 friggin' days later...it got stolen again...ohhh I was pissed! They found it again, it was banged up and not worth fixing so got a nice fat check from insurance so I felt lil better but dang! PMS #113 PMTS #19

I agree with Monkey...the 3 dzs that I've been to in VA all rock! Got to check out all of 'em. I've been to all of 'em and had a blast every time

Met John Woo and didn't get to jump with him but while we were on weather hold, I got to know him and all the awesome dives he's been on. Looking forward jumping with him real soon. He's constantly traveling and jumping at different dzs right now so hard to catch him these days. Say hi to him at Perris for me

Yup, I'm one of them...been skydiving a lil over a year now. Shame I won't be able to make it out to the DWR this year but hopefully next time it happens. You have a blast and I know you'll meet bunch out at Perris during this time. Hey...I ended up watching the show "The Race to the Altar" and at the end I saw one of the guy with his fiancee and he was wearing a closing pin necklace so was wondering where he jumps at and all. I can't remember what his name was!! argh, I think it was Chris and his fiancee is Carol. -
I haven't and hope never to see it happen...did have a real close call when a skydiver was spinning violently and I was outside the hanger watching the whole thing...he didn't release his main (couldn't find his handles for some reason) and cypress fired so reserve deployed but then both canopies went downplane so close to the ground but right before he impacted the ground, reserve came back above his head but he hit the ground hard...one of the luckiest guy I have met since he only walked away with a sprained ankle. He hit a soft marshy area. Scared the shit out of me, I was screaming and others were running out of the hanger to see why I was screaming...it was a scary moment for us all and very quiet for a little while after the incident because we didn't know if he survived after hitting the ground. how many times have you jumped both of those? maybe you need to do a couple more demo jumps on each one and that might help you out on deciding which is best for you. I heard both are great canopies and have read reviews on them, not many negative stuff being said too.

our dz had a rigger do pin check last weekend and no breaks so far at our dz....whew...have a rigger be in charge and check all rigs over the weekends...that way you're not fucked if its broken and you can get it fixed before a horrible accident...we don't need any more dead/hurted skydivers out there...

Me too!! Perhaps next year...damn job is keeping me here during that time and plus need to save up on lots lots lots of cash b4 doing this...gonna to splur on jumps,etc.. when I finally get to go to WFFC!!

I met James last Nov at the Thanksgiving Boogie down at CSS. We hit off after knowing that I'm a ECU alumni while he's a student there. He's a great person and has a wonderful personality. Seeing him again during the Easter Boogie was lot of fun and we got to know each other lil better through his teammate Lynn who's a close friend of mine. I'm so sadden to hear that this has happened to him and my thoughts are with him,his family and his CSS family. We here at Skydive Virginia! are thinking of you guys during this hard time. I know exactly how you feel, I got the monday blues. no motivation to do anything and damn this VA weather! crappy over the weekend and now its nice outside. One thing, just glad I got to jump on Friday afternoon while it was still nice. PMS #113 PMTS #19
