Make sure you include beans on the "veggies to give up" list, otherwise pretty soon you will be on loads all by yourself! "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."

I'm going to try to give up meat....need advice
hungarianchick replied to Vallerina's topic in The Bonfire
If it's really important to you go for it! You can have a completely healthy and balanced diet without meat if you take the time to educate yourself. By the way, your original post was asking for ADVICE only, not a moral discussion, so just ignore them! I second the opinion on the Moosewood cookbook and the sequel The Enchanted Broccoli Forest (really) Also, make sure you include peppermint in your diet since you can expect to be gassy for a few months, and that could be a problem on jumprun! I lived in GB on and off for a few years and that time tipping was downright insulting. The waiter/bar tender would give you your change back down to the last penny and would run after you if you left it on the table. Things may have changed by now. Here in the US I tip for good, but ONLY for good service, and I tip generously. I had denied tips for surly or inattentive waiters before. One of them, who had a bad attitude and disappeared several times for long periods had the nerve to come back and complain after we paid our bill! "I love cooking with wine. Tandem Master Jokes Or Lines For Students?
hungarianchick replied to Sin's topic in Tandem Skydiving
Once I was on a load with a tandem pair and the instructor was famous for wearing a different silly hat for every jump. On that particular jump he wore an oversized black velvet top hat with a skull and crossbones on the front and told his student that this was his "bad feeling hat" because he had a bad feeling about that jump. Another TI on the same DZ started walking toward the plane without his rig, and when the student asked him about it with a confused look on her face he told her that parachutes are highly overrated! I'm normally not a compulsive eater, but I can't stop eating Cheez-its once I get my paws on a box! Oh yea, and cheese, especially brie. I think I really should have my colestherol checked! "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."

*** I can't say that I've heard of that dropzone...but I see several different turbines in these pics...boogie or business as usual? Then you haven't lived yet! Those pictures actually weren't done over Lebanon, ME where SNE is located. These shots were taken during the 50 Way sequential weekend which was held over Skyhaven Airport in Rochester, NH.They had a CASA and SNE's very own Super Otter! By the way, awesome pictures, Tony! Fear is a learned emotion in humans. A small child is not automatically scared of the things the average adult is scared of. A child will not fear a venomous snake or a large dog unless he observes fear in people around him. If you saw infants getting their first swimming lesson you don't see fear some adults have of bodies of water. That 3 year old in the theater watching AVP may not have bean scared of the images on the screen but he may have had reacted to the other movigoers' actions and dramatic sound effects. Either way, it was a bad idea to take him. PS. I thought I also mention that a child of that age should be supervised while eating, but in this case I'm sure he wasn't. It's really tragic. Genetically, marriage is not natural. The majority of the species have numerous mates throughout their lives to ensure the survival of the species and to weed out the sick and old. The human sexes however no longer just "hook up" to procreate. There is more than just the instinct to survive, there are emotions involved which, for most cultures anyway, makes it very difficult to share a sexual partner with another person. Like Remster said, fish farming is far from beneficial to the environment. The caged fish carry parasites and diseases to which they're immune themselves, but escaped specimen pass them on to their wild cousins with disastrous consequences Edited to add: They're also treated for those ailments with chemicals which they also pass down the food chain combined with the heavy metals... Because people are carnivorous *** Not to pick on your reply, but people are actually omnivorous, just like pigs. Our molars are very similar. Speaking of pigs.... Hmm, BACON! Seriously, I used to be a lacto-ovo vegetarian for about ten years not so much for ethical reasons, but rather because I got sick of eating pork all the time,(pork is the most common meat in Hungary) and I didn't care much about the taste or texture of beef. A few years ago I realized that I didn't feel any healthier or lighter for that matter because I ate too much carbs to compensate for the protein.(I didn't put too much effort into coming up with a balanced vegetarian menu) Slowly I started reintroducing beef into my diet thanks to a wonderful boyfriend who makes a kickass steak! I feel better, lost weight and I think my diet is more balanced with meat in it with little effort. "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."

First of all apologies to HH and the Greenies if this is the wrong forum for this post... I was at Skydive Pepperell in MA this past weekend and I overheard a conversation about a tunnel being built in Nashua, NH and is expected to be open by January next year. I'm guessing it might be one of those portable operations or an outdoor one. I was intrigued but I didn't want to butt into the conversation. A thorough search on the internet yielded nothing. Does anybody have info on this? Any would be greatly appreciated! Thanx! Alex "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."

Just because there are a lot of international students go to U.S. schools doesn't mean that it is the best system. They may have more resources, but the standards and the knowledge being passed to the students are not necessarily the best. There are a lot of international students in hungarian medical schools which are amongst the best in the world, not to mention far more affordable. "I love cooking with wine. Dorian Gray, the character in Oscar Wilde's story is an extremely good looking but rather vain, shallow and cruel young man who cannot bear the thought of getting old and unattractive... He has a picture painted of him which has the supernatural power of aging instead of him but also concentrates all his cruel and evil tendencies while he remains young and attractive... He is terrified of the picture, hides it in his attic, but cannot help looking at it as it changes. At the end the picture kills him, but the body people find in the attic is and old, wrinkly, vizen man nobody recognizes. Or something like that... Oh yeah, and there is nothing on the canvas...
