  1. Make a wild mushroom pot pie! I've done it eons ago one Christmas and it's delicious! I'm not sure about the exact measurements, but: Saute a mixture of wild mushrooms in butter and throw in a bunch of fresh herbs. S/P to taste. Sprinkle w/ flour to create a roux and add heavy cream until thick. Pour into a earthenware pie dish. Cover with puff pastry, crimp the edges and flute. Bake until golden brown. Yum!
  2. I paid $2.91 in MA at a Stop & Shop pump about 3 weeks ago. I had a .05 discount because of my S&S card plus I have been accumulating 'gas points' every time I used the card in the store. So the total came to $ 2.91/gallon. I almost screamed when I managed to fill up my RSX for a little over $30.00 and my light was on... The cheapest is about $3.20/3.19 around here "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  3. I know, I know It's the end of the work day and I'm ten times more likely to go off on a tangent "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  4. I'm sure we are talking about Victoria Stillwell. I think she has some sound ideas. (I don't get the tight pants and boots, thought) I used some of her techniques on shelter dogs and it really depends on the dog and their ability to respond to commands and their learning speed. I never really watched Cesar, but he started to build an entire empire of products. I've recently seen a blown up poster of him at PETCO and he looks suspiciously Botox-ed... 5. Did you sleep well the night before? Fatigue can also trigger them. If I remember correctly you live in Massachusetts, if still so, who is your neuro? Mine is at the Epilepsy Unit at Massachusetts General and they are incredible. Two and a half years ago I suffered a grand mal seizure with no previous history and a suspicious blackout the next day that nobody witnessed. While I believe that my case was a freak occurence more than anything else I understand the anguish and the lack of controll you feel right now. Stay strong, and PM me if you need to vent. 6. I may buy the 'accident' theory if it was only one child in the freezer. She could have fallen down the stairs or have gotten killed some other way and the mother got scared. So instead of calling the police she stuffed the body in the freezer. But two? That's a strech. "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  7. You made the right choice by getting one for the time being. I agree with Renee, getting two would be asking for trouble. In this case, it would be twice as much work and $$$ invested in training a very smart but very active animal. Get one, train it well and your second pup will be more easily trained as you'll already have a well behaved dog in your house. As for separation anxiety, there are simple daily tricks you can do to overcome your dog's fears of being alone. Make your comings and goings in and out of the house as unemotional as possible. Do not fuss over the puppy when you leave and when he/she goes crazy when you return, ignore the behavior. Do not interact with her, don't even look at her until she is calm and start with short periods of abscence. Good luck and enjoy your new addition!
  8. I dunno about pickled ones, they look like lab specimens... Edited to add: I also strongly believe that only vegetables should be pickled... "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  9. Too bad nobody told Brady that carrying Gisele's Lois Vouitton bags around the globe is NOT TRAINING! That's what you get if you get complacent. Sowwy, can you tell I'm pissed? "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  10. You and my mother... Although she takes utmost care in preparing it (washes it in a neutral detergent (!) first, than rinsing it with clean water and adding raw onions at least a dozen times thereafter) I still wouldn't eat the stuff. I tried a little piece once and it felt like I was chewing on a piece of terry-cloth. I must say though I used to enjoy a hungarian-style stew made entirely of pigs' feet. I loved the sticky quality caused by all the gelatin cooking out of them. I couldn't eat it now, I would probably get deathly ill... "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  11. I've been very lucky so far, but then again my husband and I fequent the same places for the most part. One of the worst I remember was a bar in NYC. I was there with friends for drinks only. The waitress was rude, disappeared for long periods of time, didn't ask wether everything was OK or we needed another round, generally she just acted like she was on community service. The funniest thing was that she had the nerve to complain when we paid the tab sans tip. "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  12. Fine, be picky then... "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  13. am I the only one that is disturbed by this? Nothing to be disturbed about, he is probably from Scotland... "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  14. You look great and stop worrying about what other people think or say.
  15. I'm training for my first road race!!!! I can run on a treadmill until the cows come home but I've never liked running on pavement. It'll only be a 5K and I'm not in it to win it, but I still feel like I need more time to be fully ready. "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  16. Do you eat that in the walk-in? "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  17. I love Delta Oscar Golf I would definitly name him that if it wasn't such a mouth full. Or "Clearance Clarence" How about Roger Roger or Vector victor Cutay!
  18. What are you doing answering her calls anyway????? Change your number or block hers! I know it's tempting to hurt her as much as you are hurting right now, but don't do it! It will be much easier for you to move on if you cut off all contact with her now and concentrate on putting your life back together. "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  19. Cheese and jam, but not nasty american cheese and grape jelly,(yuck) rather a nice slice of sharp cheddar and some good quality strawberry preserve. Good stuff! "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  20. We don't have a dog yet, but when we do I'll make sure that he will be well mannered and obedient. He/she will not be allowed on the furniture and will have to accept their position at the bottom of the family pecking order. As for our cat, well, I tried but I think she is hell-bent on driving me crazy at the moment. I think she wants my husband all to herself. "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  21. Same here. I'd probably greet him with a Glock.. "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  22. I started typing something several times and then I erased it when I realized that nothing I write will ease the pain of this terrible tragedy. I've never met you Mike, but I'm crying right now. I'm crying for you, for your family, and for every parent who is faced with burying their child. R.I.P Shannon "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  23. Was it Jason Lee+wife who named their son Pilot Inspektor? I dont see it on the list. "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  24. It scares me that I was old enough to wear something like this in the 80s... "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
  25. It's probably just me, but I wouldn't be caught dead in stirrup anything. On the other hand, I kinda like this look: http://www.express.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=553&parentCategoryId=2&categoryId=28&subCategoryId=30 "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
