  1. According to a trans activist, the real tragedy of the school shooting was the “dead naming” and “misgendering” of the perpetrator.
  2. The premise of a waiting time being analogous to demand was introduced by BillV not me, but let’s noodle that one through. If only one person signed up for an electric F-150 and had to wait a year because Ford stopped production due to quality issues, it would hardly represent a massive demand, now would it?
  3. The question was, “who owns the lithium mines” not “where are the lithium mines”. The answer to that is China, with 60% control of global lithium production.
  4. Wrong! “Presently, NPR receives funding for less than 1% of its budget directly from the federal government, but receives almost 10% of its budget from federal, state, and local governments indirectly.”
  5. Twitter labeled NPR as a “State Affiliated Media” (which only makes sense as it is subsidized by the government) and they had a cow.
  6. Over the “N” in NPR
  7. I’m just worried about Kallend. He expressed his displeasure with Lightfoot and Johnson looks to be doubling down on her failed policies.
  8. That doesn’t make the claim they are the worst, it suggest that is where they are headed.
  9. No genius, I left that one out because the waiting list for the Lightning is a function of Ford shutting down production not because of huge demand. https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&channel=iphone_bm&sxsrf=APwXEddXv_6wSTpIIZdIr5iKyGQuBBSQ9g:1680819116202&q=ford+halts+lightning+production&tbm=nws&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwin-uiSo5b-AhU8F1kFHff8Aq4Q0pQJegQIDhAB&biw=1144&bih=743&dpr=2
  10. When did I say that? Put up or shut up.
  11. So good that Ford halted production
  12. None of it, I don’t live in Chicago
  13. Another case of message vs messenger confusion For those who are triggered by FOX news here is a source that is more your speed https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/chicago-chooses-between-progressive-moderate-in-mayoral-election
  14. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/5-ways-left-wing-chicago-mayor-elect-brandon-johnson-promised-transform-city In the competition for worst city in America, Chicago says “Hold my beer”
  15. https://247wallst.com/autos/2023/03/05/fords-poor-f-150-lightning-sales/ “The Ford F-150 Lightning is supposed to be its EV flagship. It is the electric version of its F-150 pickup, the best-selling vehicle in America for over four decades. That should give the Lightning a built-in advantage. However, Ford has only sold 3,600 in the first two months of 2023.”
  16. How about the Guardian? “Twenty years ago, Germany was called the sick man of Europe, owing to its high unemployment, weak domestic demand and slow GDP growth. Today, the country seems to have caught another disease – this time, because of its unrealistically ambitious energy policy. Recovery will be painful.” https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/nov/25/germany-energy-policy-economic-failure-green-russian-gas
  17. Austrian alternative media AUF 1 reports via Telegram (emphasis added): AUF 1 reports here at its website that “only ten percent still believe that Germany’s energy needs can indeed be covered by sun and wind energy”. I’m hoping it is just a matter of time before we do as well.
  18. That is just demand being pulled forward because of the expiring tax credits “The long-awaited Treasury Department say on which electric vehicle batteries will qualify for tax credits is in, and the RWD Tesla Model 3 is no longer eligible. Buyers can still get the full US$7,500 subsidy amount for the standard range Model 3 until April 18, though, informs Tesla.”
  19. I don’t think it is a matter of “need” it is a matter of want.
  20. That is a function of reduced consumer demand for non trucks/SUVs. Being a big fish in a disappearing pond is hardly anything to crow about.
  21. By that standard F-350 Superduity are in even higher demand with wait times in excess of four months. https://fordauthority.com/topic/2022-ford-super-duty-wait-times/
  22. Wow, seven responses w only four personal attacks
  23. Not a failure, just not in demand as much as the big pickup trucks (like EVs).
  24. Meanwhile, in the real world…. “In terms of overall numbers, though, the Detroit three’s full-size pickups still reigned supreme. The top three sellers were the Ford F-Series (653,957), the Chevrolet Silverado (520,936), and the Ram pickup family (468,344)”
