  1. Of course that depends on performance, and it looks like he is off to a good start. "Job creation numbers flew in well above expectations in January and hit their highest level since June, according to the latest ADP National Employment Report published Wednesday." http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2017-02-01/manufacturing-and-mining-rebound-as-economy-generates-246-000-january-jobs
  2. We are talking Senate seats in red states where Trump won, national polls are meaningless. "I obstructed Trump with everything I had" might not have a nice ring to it in Montana where Trump won by more than 20%.
  3. What did you have and how did it turn out?
  4. I'm not supporting that behavior, I am just explaining it. Both sides are guilty. A better question would be: How long would you stay in kindergarten if you acted like a politician?
  5. That is what I ment by self immolation. There are ten Democratic Senators up for reelection in 2018 from states that Trump won. The base is demanding scorched earth and no compromise. That approach may work in California but not so well in Montana. If the Ds loose the red states, they will be completely irrelevant for at least an additional two years. Not good for our Democracy.
  6. "Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win” Sun Tzu, The Art of War I guess it's true.
  7. Instead of choosing their battles and keeping their powder dry for a meaningful fight, such as the possible replacement of RBG, they are being forced by their base to mount hopeless kamikaze attacks, expending political capital for no gain.
  8. The rules for the full Senate were changed by the Dems (establishing a precedent), the rule change today was regarding committee hearings, reinforcing the precedent and making the "Nuclear Option" more likely. To your point, no Obama nominee was going to be approved eight months prior to an election. The Republicans would have looked silly blocking the appointment of a highly qualified Justice, especially one they had approved of in the past. To avoid this they just never took up his nomination. That is just one of the advantages of being in the majority, you get to set the agenda.
  9. In response to pressure from their base, Democrats have abstained from committee attendance forcing Republicans to change committee rules. This will fast-track Trumps cabinet appointees to a full Senate vote. I predict the same thing will happen with Trump's Supreme Court nominee. Their intransigence will backfire and force Rs to employ the "Nuclear Option" clearing the way for a "fundamental transformation" of the Supreme Court.
  10. When people deny facts and logic, there is really no where else to go.
  11. fo·rum ˈfôrəm/ noun 1. a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged. I shared my thoughts on Bill's post to Airdiver.
  12. Actually you are right. I made some points and backed the up, the counter was low IQs and small dicks. I allowed myself to get sucked into petty point scoring, as you correctly point out. Thanks for the sanity check.
  13. Because you made it. I did not hold you to account for someone else's words they were your words. "guys with small penises - and low IQ's - can buy big trucks!" BillV
  14. I am not Airdiver, I am not RushMC. Hold me accountable for what I write and I will reciprocate.
  15. You wrote "big trucks." As I wrote before, your concept of "big" wouldn't impress most women. No Junebug, I wrote "big-truck guys." "Guys" is the subject "big-truck" is the modifier. It is a little something I like to call grammar. It Is disappointing to see you reduced to "size" jokes, I thought you were a grown man. Obviously I was mistaken.

  17. Speculating with other people's money. Unlike Trump's private equity investors, Elon Musk's taxpayer "investors" don't have a choice and receive no dividend.
  18. Splain it to me all powerful moderator.
  19. Elon Musk and Donald J. Trump, your heros! Getting Rich on OPM, (other people's money). Yet you accuse hard working Americans, like the commercial truck drivers, of having low IQs and small penises. That makes me sad.
  20. I just Googled and that was the first one that came up. I would not quarrel with your numbers I would just compare them to the taxes Tesla AND Solar City combined. 2012 $0 2013 $0 2014 $0 2015 $0
  21. It's a little known fact, but all terrorists are former five year olds.

  23. Ok, I didn't think that Bill was referring to commercial truck owner/operators when he said, "guys with small penises - and low IQ's - can buy big trucks!" I assumed he was taking about pick-up trucks, but obviously I was wrong. When I think of pick-up trucks I think of F150s. I'm not playing semantics.
  24. You need to pay more attention, I said "big truck guys" in response to BillV's sophomoric assertion, "guys with small penises - and low IQ's - can buy big trucks!" The best selling large truck in America is the F150.
  25. I can't make more simple then this "Total fossil fuel subsidies declined by 15 percent, from $4.0 billion to $3.4 billion." "Solar led the various renewables with almost a 5-fold increase in subsidy (both electricity-related and non-electricity related) from $1.1 billion to $5.3 billion and led electricity sector subsidies on a unit of production basis. Wind subsidies increased by 9 percent from $5.4 billion to $5.9 billion" 5.9+5.3=11.1 11.1>3.4 Renewables pay next to nothing in taxes. Fossil fuels contribute >$100 billion in taxes. To take it any further, we would have to have a conversation on "what the definition of "is" is."
