  1. You simply don’t know what you are talking about. https://www.ballisticmag.com/2018/05/25/bolt-rifle-vs-semi-auto-rifle/ AR hitting steel at 1500 yards https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ht-Be-R6UA8
  2. It is Joe Biden’s argument, watch the video I posted.
  3. I’m sure you see how the whole “designed by the military for use on the battlefield” argument just doesn’t hold water.
  4. Joe, I thought you were against guns that were adaptations of military weapons whose sole purpose was to create as much death and destruction in as short of time as technicality feasible.
  5. Perhaps I was not clear. Social distancing is still in effect. At least in my neighborhood folks seem to be making up for the lack of face to face engagement with a symbolic one. And I think that is a good thing.
  6. In my neighborhood, we had a huge increase in Halloween participation. The number of decorated houses was more than double than in previous years. Not only the amount of participation but the degree as well. What had been a pumpkin on the front porch was now a full blown spectacle. Christmas season has seemed to followed suit. If one has to look for a silver lining in the 2020 COVID nightmare, it might be bringing neighbors closer together, while we are still apart.
  7. Watch South Park’s “Band in China”
  8. The .338 federal isn’t fast, it is just big.
  9. Sorry, I am just trying to respond to the ever changing arguments against my post. For example: when I made the claim “no one hunts with a Glock” SkyDekker said “WRONG” and posted a link indicating Ted Nugent used one. I did manage to not go down THAT rabbit hole. Others? Not so much. Like your claim the DPMS rifle is relatively inaccurate. With a stainless steel, heavy profile 20” barrel, full float hand guard and two stage trigger, it is a tack driver.
  10. That is just nonsense. A 30-30 has roughly 1000 ft-lbs less energy than the .270 and it is the most successful deer round in history. But if that is not enough you can go with https://www.iammo.com/dpms-panther-arms-lr-308-lite-hunter-ar-10-338-federal-19-round-20-semi-automatic-rifle-in-black-rflr338l.html powerful enough for all N. American game and allows a quick follow up shot without having to cycle a bolt or throw a lever. (Could come in handy in a close quarters hunt on moose or bear)
  11. That argument doesn’t hold water considering 40% of gun purchases are going to first time buyers. Not to mention, if Biden is able to follow through with his campaign promises, the value of existing ARs will skyrocket.
  12. In your opinion Joe. When it comes to a comprehensive review of a type of firearm, I’m going to have to go with Field and Stream.
  13. We are getting bogged down in the details of which guns are used for what. My main point stands; Joe Biden has taken the crown, cape and scepter from Obama, and is now the undisputed Gun Salesman of the Century.
  14. It is a versatile tool and can be used for many things. Unlike handguns which are almost exclusively used to shoot Homo Sapiens. ( Folks hunt game with ARs nobody hunts game with a Glock.) 70% of firearm deaths are from pistols, 8% from shotguns and rifles of all types. You tell me which platform is used to “hunt Homo sapiens”
  15. That is your choice and I understand and respect it. (I haven’t been hunting for more than twenty years) However Americans are voting with their wallets and ARs of all stripes, are sold before they are even made. Even VERY high end ARs ($2k+) can not be found. With a COVID vaccine being distributed, and civil unrest on the decline the only reason left for the record breaking gun sales, is the impending inauguration of the Biden administration and his promise to infringe on our right to bear arms.
  16. In your opinion. Here are some more hunting ARs. https://www.fieldandstream.com/best-ar-style-rifles-hunting-personal-defense/ BTW, if you are trying to eradicate a passel of crop destroying, feral pigs, nothing beats a semi automatic with a high capacity magazine.
  17. That is just simply not true (the third part that is) https://www.range365.com/best-ar-rifles-for-big-game-hunting/
  18. Sorry Bill, that tired old stereotype won’t work. Especially since >40% are first time buyers with lots of women and minorities in that group. BTW Obama was rendered toothless after squandering all of his political capital on Obamacare. If history is any guide, Republicans will retain control of the Senate and the Democrats will loose the house in the midterms rendering Biden equally feckless with regard to gun control. If not we still have the SC.
  19. No doubt, but to say those calibers are unavailable on the AR platform is incorrect, the 6.5 Grendel is a fine round for deer, black bear and feral pigs.
  20. It has been covered https://www.air.tv/watch?v=pW3qNTSWSuqdYsQnLLsUoQ
  21. Wrong on many levels. First, The .223 Remington is a rifle cartridge, originally developed in 1957 as a commercial hunting bullet for small mid-western varmints; with the first rifle chambered for it coming out in 1963. It has continued to be a popular civilian hunting cartridge. The 5.56 is a slightly modified .223 in fact they can be used interchangeably in most rifles. The.223 Wylde splits the difference. Second, the AR platform can accommodate a variety of calibers barrel length and optics by swapping out the upper receiver. From the modest .22lr to the massive .510 Winchester Short Magnum. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AR_platform_cartridges
  22. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/12/business/gun-sales-joe-biden/index.html Bottom line, if you are for fewer guns in the country, elect a Republican
  23. https://www.air.tv/watch?v=pW3qNTSWSuqdYsQnLLsUoQ Maybe you will believe him.
