I'll be in New york or to be exact Tarritown NY (close to the city) for 5 days and was thinking of doing one little jump there if possible. i have 55 jumps but don't have my A licence (didn't send it in... yet) will i be allowed to jump ? any DZ to recomend ? Live the sky. S-

i'm so exited i had to tell somebody, i've been looking for a while, and finally... i found a full rig, spectre 190, Javelin container fits me real nice. i just have to get its reserve repacked and try it this saturday... But it's in the trunk of my car now, and i'm so close to Hollister, it's torture.... Live the sky. S-

Hi Gipsy, i did my AFF 3 months ago, and i almost quit after scaring myself off on levell 5. i did the normal dive turn left 360, right 360 and was a bit unstable, but no big deal at 6k i went to open (stable) and i slaped the rip cord without grabbing it, i kept doing that which induced a very fast left spin, as i kept trying to open my jumpmaster caught up to me grabed my foot which stop my spin, i opened at the same time and was under canopy at 3500 wich might seem high,but for me, for the first time i actually saw the ground come up, which freaked me out . and the fact that i almost didn't open did not help. i stared at the sky all day (that was my first jump) and just kept telling myself that no matter i much i loved the sport, maybe it wasn't made for me... So at the end of the day, i took a walk with one of my jumpmaster and asked him, if they ever told people that maybe they should think of another sport...he said, yes they sure did and that i wasn't one of these people... So here i am 50 jumps later i love it and i'm glad i didn't stop. Just think about it and make sure that it's what you really want, and definetly do not be embarassed by it, we all had to try...i fellt completely inadequate and not cut out for skydiving, but that talk with the JM helped a lot. Ok, i'm pretty new in this sport so i don't know many DZ, but i just felt like saying thank you thank you to everyone at the DZ

All the posts are right Meg, when i left Paris to come here (yeah really what was i thinking!!!) i had no idea what to expect and i was leaving everything i knew for a new country 12h away from my home, but it all turned out great, because the people i've met here have been very good to me. and the same will happen to you
