"God of ALL Gods"...yes, "I am that I am"....that's the ONE. He has been trying to get people's attention for many thousands of years...and still they don't listen, because it would likely mean a change in their lifestyle. You should listen before its too late. That is ONE that you can take to the bank..... Bill Cole

I am very sorry to hear of this fatality. It came over the TV news Sunday, but didnt give details, and I wondered all day long who and why. Such a loss. Bill Cole D-41

With this sort of medical breakrthroughs, one might wonder how long the human race can survive!!!!! And Israeli doctor says, ": Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, and put it in another man, and have him looking for work in six weeks". A German doctor says, " That is nothing....in Germany we can take a lung out of one person and put it in another, and have him looking for work in four weeks." A Russian doctors then says, " In my country, we can take half a heart out of one man , put it in another, and have them both looking for work in two weeks." The Texas doctor, not to be outdone, says, " You guys are away behind....we recently took a man in Texas who had no brains, and we put him in the White House for eight years, and now half the country if looking for work."

I agree totally with you. He might have made 400 to 500 MPH, and there is emphasis on the " might". Nevertheless, he did a great jump, and he deserves credit for being there at a time many were thinking of one day making a parachute jump on static line. To break the sound barrier, he would have had to make at least 680 MPH, and with a drogue chute that would be impossible. I have done test jumping on speeds at low altutides, and this topic has great meaning to me personally, and I too, like honesty and accuracy. Bill Cole

George wasa great guy, a real pioneer in the sport. I bought many chutes from him in the early 1960s. Heas one fine man. -
not totake anything from the great jump Kittinger made, but there is no way he broke the sound barrier with a 6 ft drogue chute behind him. He certainly reached a great sppeed, but NOT 700 MPH on that jump.

What is this canopy release? #2
chuteless replied to howardwhite's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
I had them on a Strong rig, and used them once or twice for cutaway. Once you pulled on that velcro, you were away from the main like a shot from a gun Bill Cole D-41 -
Gary Freeze " The Buckeye Batman"
chuteless replied to chuteless's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
Gary Freeze of Greensprings, Ohio, just got home from the hospital once again. A few years ago, he landed after a demo, in a ditch filled with water. The next demo , one week later, he had a mal, and he pulled his reserve ripcord ( yes, some people still use them) and his friozen solid reserve came out but wouldnt inflate. He grabbed at the lines, and it finally filled just above ground, and he slammed into a paved parking lot. He had both hips replaced TWICE, and recently went back for more surgery, because one of his hipbones was moveable inside , and it finally broke his pelvis. He is home now, but flat on his back for awhile....quite awhile I believe. Gary and I often made demos in Ontario and Ohio, including the Canadian National Exhinition air show at Toronto. We would often think up some new stunt to do, and a few times, they actually worked. I asked him if he would do it all again, and he said " Hell, yes" I told him, " Yeah..so would I" but right now I have to go take another Percodan. Gary was listed as the Buckeye Batman, and we jumped into a drive intheatre showing the Gyspy Moths. Heck, it was a free movie for us, so why not! If I can get an email for him, I'll post it...he would like to hear from jumpers....I know he would. Bill Cole D-41 -
I have to agree with HW. A roman candle was often talked about back in the early 1960s, and it was just a classic streamer, sleeve or no sleeve.

Jan Meyer - Just the tip of the iceberg?

Thats like saying what is good for Haliburton is good for the USA -
I believe that Christmas, as a celebration of the birth of Jesus, will be abolished within five years. It will instead, be turned into a commercial holiday, rather than being a Holy day. It is almost totally that now, but there will be a total elimination of all Christmas carols, and any mention of Jesus Christ....by law.

Name on place that gives 15 years for a gun crime. Many have a 2 year penalty and nothing more.. Its time to take STRONG measures. -
Another US Shooting - This time a shopping Mall

Ive been away for a few days...so this is my catching up post. The bottom line in the USA is, most people support the gun being easily available, because they think a gun can solve all their problems. Colt Gun Manufacturing Co used to call their revolver the " great equalizer" Its is like the guy about two months ago in Texas, called 911, and said someone wwas breaking into his neighbour's home and the owner was away. He then told the 911 operator, that he was going to take his gun and go to kill the two intruders at his neighbour's home. The 911 operator told him " don't do it" and the guy went next door and killed both burglars. Does anyone really believe that there may have been something in that home being burglarized that was worth the lives of two humans? The gun is America's problem solver....and its is the shoot first ...ask questions later that causes many of these killings. The same attitude ( which stinks) has been shown by the R.C.M.P. with the use of their tasers. They don't even bother to assess the situation, they just get their "toy" out and taser someone, and then give the person a second shock for the fun of it. some fun!! I am totally disgusted with the RCMP, and the four officers who killed the Polish immigrant at Vancouver, should be fired. A law should be passed giving ANYONE committing a crime with a gun, an automatic penalty of 15 years in prison. Maybe strong measures will help save some lives. -

"you cannot judge any society by its lunatics " "They are by definition, outside of society" ________________________________________________ That is nothing but a cop out...a weak notion that society isn't to blame for the mass killings in the USA. The society has long had a mentaility of giving everyone a gun, shoot anyone you feel may upset you, a paranoid attitude, and nothing more. There is no respect for law and order, and there is a backlash with some police forces and their inconsiderate use of both tasers and pistols in doing their job. The "right" to bear arms, should be restricted to your right arm and your left arm. Television programs, movies, videos, DVDs ad infinitum have made the USA a leader in pornography and brutality and a wide range of violence being acceptable for kids right up to grandparents. edited for a spelling mistake -

American society is turning on itself.....a mentality of guns and killing anyone, anywhere, anytime. Its amazing to hear the call for everyone to carry a gun....figuring that then someone could stop a gunman. Only problem is....when you look around and seea guy with a gun ( looking for the killer) someone will make you a target. What an insane nation. -
Some time ago, I interpreted some biblical prophecies that spoke clearly of the end of the USA, ( NOT the end of the world as some thought), and I mentioned it would take place before the end of Bush's 2nd term. Well, a continuance of research causes me to believe it will not be before the end of Bush's 2nd term, but shortly after his successor is elected to the President's office, ......sometime before September of 2009. This will be the 62nd WEEK ( of years) of Daniel's prophecy, and either shortly before or shortly after New York City and Washington are wiped off the map, a very large asteroid will hit in mid Atlantic, causing enormous problems to the east coast of North America and the west coast of Europe. I just thought I would bring everyone interested up to date. Nevertheless, you won't have to wait too long....it IS going to take place.....just a few extra months to enjoy yourselves while you can.....maybe a few extra jumps ! Bill Cole

Woman may get 40 lashes for naming teddy bear Mohammed
chuteless replied to Lefty's topic in Speakers Corner
If I was a farmer ( which I am not ) I would name the biggest fattest pig after Mohammed, and give that animal a nickname of the Prophet, knowing he couldnt even prophesy when he would end up as a slab of bacon. That would be more appropriate than a teddy bear. Now....let the murderous Islam come after me if they want to. Bill Cole -
Was the use of the Atomic Bomb on a city wrong??
chuteless replied to Amazon's topic in Speakers Corner
In Daniel, it is following several mentions of the war in Iraq, and in Revelation, it is actually twice mentioned, but they are connected with other verses, right before the mention of the total destruction of New York City ( and the United Nations), which will become totally UN-TIED. (Just a change of a couple of letters.) edited for a spelling error -
