  2. Whaasszzzzuuup? Hey man, you can find TONS of information re: cameras n stuff in the Photography forum. From all Ive read and seen at the dropzone, Sony is the way to go...A million Chinese cant be wrong! Good Luck! Blue Skies!
  3. Fun website, nice job! Theres no way I could make the Festival, (but maybe Ill pick up one of them T-Shirts.. :) ! Freefly!.............. . . . . . . . . . . BAM!!! Blue Skies!
  4. Really looking forward to it! I think the setup will rock. Now that Im done doing all the homework on the hardware, I can cram up on all the more subtle configuration and breakoff issues, etc... Thanks for the note, is there anything you DONT like about your setup, or something you would do diff if given the chance?? Blue Skies!
  5. WOW! Killer post! Thanks a million, you read my mind! Thats just what I needed to hear before jumping this weekend. I'm gonna do it, baby!! Woohooo! Great ideas, I appreciate your advise. Slowing down to take a foot is a great one, slow contest too. Awesome :) ! Thanks again for the advise! Blue Skies!
  6. Killer thread. I was just thinking of ways to exercise leg flying when HD. I have GOT to slow down. My HD is stable, but everyone else on the jump has to haul-a#% to keep up. Im thinkin flying more with my legs could really help slow me down. Keep in mind, I dont fly daffy well, and Im sure thats a huge part of what Im trying to do with legs during HD. Thanks! Blue Skies!
  7. Cant make it, but sure sounds like fun!! Good luck! Blue Skies!
  8. Congratts!! Youll be suger glidin in no time! Really wanting to do it seems to be the best thing (and practice!), keep it up!! Woohoooo!! Blue Skies!
  9. Whew!...Thats big boy toy stuff right there! Ive been noticing alot of setups around the drop zone latley, you should see McGowan's! Hehe, like a battleship! I think I saw smokestacks or something. :). Have no intentions on making any money at this, so more power to you pros!! Im just gonna take baby steps and try and do this right. Everything else in my short skydiving career has been textbook, no scares or close calls. Hopefully this will continue. Just in case, though, Ive chosen a smooth configuration with a quick release. "Cause you NEVER know!!". Blue Skies!
  10. Thanks man! Yup, Holly rocks! Ill definatly be bouncin things off folks the next couple of weeks re: camera setup. Im sure the regulars at the photography forum can help me out too. BAM! Blue Skies!
  11. Thanks a ton, bro! Ive read so many of your posts, I feel like I know you. Ive really seen you "grow up" as a camera flyer just by reading ALL the archives of info here. I remember you being jazzed with your first 'paying' job. Hehe. I mentioned Quade by name, but was hoping you'd drop your 2 cents on me! BAM! Thanks for the note! Blue Skies!
  12. I just finished reading the "how many jumps..." thread through again, and am finally gonna post my first note in the photography forum. I havent jumped a camera yet, so I thought a new post was warrented. I have been reading and searching the forums here for a long time, and really respect the sensible opinions of the moderators. And in Quades honor I will NOT jump my camera before 200. :) Our Freefly jumps are getting really smooth, with some docking and relitive transitions, I GOT to get this on video! That being said, I am ready to puchase my stuff. Im looking for some last minute feedback before I pull the trigger on this one. Setup as follows: 2KC FF2 w/CameyeII, and Sony DCR-PC101 w/Diamond 0.3x. I am ordering the FF2 with the standard carbon fibre finish. It will have the new ratcheting chin cup and new quick release and CameyeII button between and behing the staggered dytter pockets. I went with the FF2 because of the low profile and snag reduction in the design (but wanted more acces to the camera than afforded on the FFX). Although the new Sony 103/105 looks interesting, I still have too many questions about how it handles the 16:9 and backwards compatibility to the Sonys all my friends are flying. To be quite honest, I dont want to wait for it anyway. :). The new Sonys will knock down the price of the 101, and Ill be flying a proven camera. The Diamond was kinda a easy choice, although the Red Eye from Way Cool sounds good too. I realize how close im gonna have to be to get all of the 0.3x, but for the campy weekend warrior hobbie video Im looking for, I think it will be just fine. I also will not be using a ring sight due to the snag risk, and the wide angle will make aiming a little less critical. :) The folks at 2KC say I will have to zoom in a little anyway to "not see the helmet". I understand from reading the forums that digital zoom is not as good as optical. Will 10X optical get me by the helmet? Maybe one of you guys have the same setup, and can fill me in...... Whelp! That about does it, appreciate any comments or feedback, thanks alot! Blue Skies!
  13. Im in dude, you sound like the kinda guy I want to pary with! Blue Skies!

  15. How bout: Drive--Incubus Lost art of keeping a secret--Queens of the stone age Mud Pie--Kyuss Digital Bath--Deftones Planet Caravan works suprisingly well and Im thinking of a Latin theme on the next one would be cool :). That intro song to Pulp Fiction, Kinky, Puya and an instamental Tequilla Sunrise from Cypress Hill....Woooohoooo! Blue Skies!

  17. New to the forums, finaly registered and ready to participate :). Im a beginning freeflyer and very interested in a camera setup. I found the forums very usefull for information on both. I jump at Eloy on Sundays with a small group of friends still mourning the loss of our friend Holly. Looking forward to meeting new people here at the forums and picking the brains of the fine folks here at Dropzone.com. Blue Skies!
