My new PC105 arrived day before yesterday. I was so pumped I took yesterday off so I could spend all day playin around with the features. :). Went to work today, and my Diamond .3x arrived! Killer. Both are awesome, and Max sent me a note about how to focus with the new .3x. Basicly you auto focus on the ground in front of you, then put it in manual, not infinity. After that you can place the camera in program mode of your choosing, sports, beach, ski etc....I have taken some "before and after" photos with the new .3x, and Ill post them soon. The increased field of view is one thing, but viewing through the lens is AWESOME!! Im all giddy inside :). FF2 should be here any day, should be a killer setup. Wohooo! Blue Skies!

Wow, took me all nite to read this whole thread....Ill have a couple of jumps with my new camera setup by then, Id be honored if you would take a look at it. Im all pumped up about the boogie now! As for thing Id like to do....Im really looking forward to meeing the Dropzone.com-ers. Id love to to a "Remember Holly" jump, a ballon jump. I wanna hang from the Skyvan with my friends, get some freefly coaching, get in on a sunset tracking dive. The DC-3 nite jump should be killer! Ive got a plush pad in Phoenix, so I would be able to help out in a pinch for a ride or emergeny loging or whatever. No camping for me, AND Ill be home with familly at Christmas time! Wohoo! Lookin forward to lots of fun jumps with new friends....BAM!! Blue Skies! -
Ive been doing a lot of two-way HD jumps, and has allways liked to breakoff at 5k. We did recently discusss going to 4.5K on the way home this weekend just to squeeze a LITTLE more freefall, but doesnt seem like you would gain very much. Comfy at 5, but we'll try 4.5 and check it out! Freefly rules! Blue Skies!

Good lookin helmet. Those twin velcros look familliar, I think I saw someone with one VERY simular at Eloy last weekend. Im a big fan of internal dytter pockets, two is even better. Will you be Freeflying, or RW? (Camera angle). Congratts, Let us know how she works out! Wohooo! Blue Skies!

Some of those articles are obtainable via searching the forums. Others I searched on the internet using Google. I think I searched for "Freeflying" on the internet and scored most of them. You will go to several sites to get them all. Keep searching and good luck!!! Blue Skies!

I learned a ton from reading articles by Tamara Koyn. Try this addy: http://www.koyn.com/CloudDancer/articles/vrwref.html. (Sorry me no clicky:) ) I actually printed them out and read them on the shitter....PERFECT!! When I was done, I put em in a three ring binder for reference, or gift to friend. Cant wait to get mine...Just got an email from Ram, my helmet hasnt shipped yet. Its been 7 weeks now, really chompin at the bit to get started!! The extra wait is no biggie, gonna wait for 200 jumps before flying the camera. Woohoooo! I dont suppose you can post a couple of pics of the cutaway handle side of the helmet? Id love to see what that winds up lookin like. I ordered mine fitted for a PC109, but cant get it anymore. Im about to order a PC105, hope I dont have too much trouble with the fit. Should be OK.... Flyin Froggy regularly and real steady....learning daffy, defenatley slower, but for me not quite as stable....(backslide, probably upper body arch tryin to reach back n put that rear foot out back). Every jump gets better though, and a little slower :) Blue Skies!

Amen, bro. Fast HD myself, not much advise per se, but search this forum for "Daffy", youll find some interesting ideas on how to slow down. Are you flying froggy or daffy? Blue Skies!

Dude! Me too exactly..Ive been following this thread to make up my mind about those same two choices, for the EXACT same reason...hehe...I wanna slow my HD!! Would love to hear from of the bigger guys maybe jumping one or both of them could drop some knoledge...THANKS!! Blue Skies!

BAM!!! Next weekend, wohoooo! You know before I started jumping with Robert, I did about 40 sit solos in a row....Now Im workin the HD, I am SO glad I took the time to get it down. A fast sit will get you in on a lot of fun jumps around here! :). Transitioning between sit n stand is very important too..I saw you on video doing a great job!! Blue Skies!

Lookin at the Pantz option, but to slow down my HD. Ive read lots of post on the increase in leg power and tracking...but whatta bout slowin a big guy down while HD?? Any feedback would be appreciated. WoohOOOOOOOO!!!! Blue Skies!

I agree, try without for a few jumps. In the desert heat its sometimes a necessity, but I allways fall faster w/o jumpsuit. Blue Skies!
