' Hell of a trip, a bit ragged, but doing fine.'
dropoutdave replied to dropoutdave's topic in The Bonfire
I just found out about this guy, absolutley incredible. "The Goliath Expedition is like no other world record breaking attempt. It will take over TEN years to complete and will cover over 36,000 Miles across four continents, 25 countries, crossing a frozen sea, six deserts, seven mountain ranges in one non-stop journey. It is possible to journey by foot from the southern most point of South America back to England and leave behind you an unbroken trail of footprints!" "He set off on 1st November 1998, he has completed over 17000 miles. With over 19000 more miles to walk, maintaining his current speed, he should return home to Hull in 2009. All the adventures, trials, tribulations and magical moments are illustrated in his personal journals." Check out some of his stories in the media section. At the moment he's at the most dangerous part of the walk, "...crossing from Alaska into Siberia, using the frozen Arctic waters of the Chukchi Sea (north of the Bering Straits) as a land bridge." http://www.earthtrekuk.net/index.html ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces...... -

Did you have something to say about the article/issue, or are you simply concerned with ChasingBlueSky's concern about Rhino's "ZIP IT" comment? Let's stop wasting bandwith with petty, nagging, inconsequential posts shall we? ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces......

He was 4 weeks old when that was taken and he had that muck on his face for about a month after that! He's finally learned how to clean himself and learned how to rip wallpaper off! He likes dz.com too. www.minisuperbikes.co.uk/cats/terrydz.jpg www.minisuperbikes.co.uk/cats/steve1.jpg www.minisuperbikes.co.uk/cats/steve.jpg www.minisuperbikes.co.uk/cats/stevenandtezza/jpg www.minisuperbikes.co.uk/cats/steventerry/jpg ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces......

NY and TX Extremists Try for Full Hunting Ban
dropoutdave replied to Kennedy's topic in Speakers Corner
They'll be after the lions next for hunting zebras next, damn lions are so cruel sometimes. ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces...... -
Disgusting behaviour. What gives them the right to put this kind of pressure on the charity and deprive cancer sufferers from this money? I heard one of them on the radio today saying God would reward them for the money they had to give back, I hear they are still waiting for the cheque from him! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/4289915.stm ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces......

Hahaha good point! Damn you Americans, always have to go one better don't you. I heard from someone today that during the 270 hours they spent wasting their time on the hunting ban they spent only 6 hours on Iraq!! How fucked up is that, if the info I got is correct. ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces......

At the end of the day passing this law was just a joke. It is not going to do anything for the welfare of the fox, they will still get hunted in one way or another. The thing that bothers me most is that our joke of a government has spent over 270 hours on this subject which could have been spent on much more pressing issues like the health care, education and the environment. Also policing this new law is just going to cause more and more problems, taking officers away from the real crime out there and filling our courts. Whether you think fox hunting is morally right or wrong makes no diffence here, there are no winners in passing this law. What also annoys the living shit out of me is that so many people have had such strong views about this subject and have spent so much time and effort in expressing them when there are far more important issues that the goverment needs pressuring on. You never see these people getting on the streets and protesting about the incompetence of our government to run the NHS or education systems do you? Waste of fucking time. ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces......

I hope the guy does get fined, there is no excuse for throwing anything out of your car window that wont biodegrade. That's karma for ya. It's fucking rediculous trying ot stop people smoking in their cars, i've been distracted far more times from people talking to me, if your going to ban smoking in cars then ban everything else, talking, drinking, eating, changing the radio station and whilst they're at it how about scratching your arse too. ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces......

Some Interesting Legislation Making Its Rounds

Damn i'm gonna be locked up when I next come out to the states! I made about 15 U-turns just trying to drive round the Paris ring road once. ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces...... -
Dude, in my opinion I seriously think your overreacting, based on the information you've given us. Firstly, have you ever met someone a long time ago and thought you might be attracted to them, attempted a relationship and realised that it just isn't going to happen and became just friends with that person? I know I have, no feelings towards them since except just really good friends. Secondly, do you have female friends that you are close to and say i love you too just as a friendly gesture? I do. By saying that your not saying your in love with that person, just that you love them for who they are, as a friend. Now imagine that your in the same senario as your wife, you send an email to you old friend that you love, the fact you might have tried a relationship with them is no longer a factor as it was so long ago and none of those feelings exist and you realised back then that it was just not gonna happen. You get to the end of the email and write Lova Ya, does that mean that you feel any less about your partner at all or are you just being the same way to friends as you always have been? At the end of the day if you trust her then it won't be an issue. My girlfriend dances the night away with her best friend (i'm not much of a dancer ) tells him that she loves him, I trust her completely so I have no issues with that at all. If that's the way she was with him before I met her then who am I to walk into her life and expect her to change the way she behaves with her friends, male or female? I'm a firm believer in that people should never have to change who they are to be in a relationship, if they do then they are perhaps in the wrong relationship. Obviously I am basing this on the info you've posted, there maybe more to it than meets the eye. Remember this is your marriage your dealing with here and things always seem worse in the heat of the moment. I hope it all works out for the best for you dude. ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces......
