OMG!!!! I kept thinking about this all week, too. I was planning on posting a "Happy Birthday Darcy" thread in honor of her birthday today. Then, the thought went out the window today until just now...doh! Anyway, please wish my good friend Skyyhi (aka Darcy) a BEAUTIFUL birthday with many great birthday wishes, spankings and all that jazz!!! Yes!!! That's what I mean. That is more strict than some of the other DZs. I love students and low-time jumpers are so well-taken care of at certain Dzs. I felt that way when I made my way to Elsinore, and it is my home DZ for that reason. (Btw, Gold coast and Mike Igo are also VERY cool!

EXACTLY...that's just too much. 25 jumps...wow. I was serious about the wind tunnel. It may be cheaper to do that first before attempting to finish AFF since you have had so many problems relaxing in the air. I went to the tunnel for my first time myself at just over 100 jumps. It was an awesome experience for me. I also have seen AFF students in there learning basics, and I have seen people with thousands of jumps fly in the tunnel for the first time. Sometimes, THEY look like the newbies, not us. It's humbling, but it is also a great learning tool for skydiving. You should SERIOUSLY think about it, Flygirl03. Good luck with all, sweetie!

Not knocking any DZs, but some DZs are stricter about passing their students than some of the busier DZs. At one DZ that I know of, you needed to be passed by the instructor(s) in the air, instructors on the ground and even the DZO (who was ALWAYS observing) needed to approve the student passing a level baseed on his own criteria. Perhaps this is the case?

Nobody could be sure until after the dirt dive anyway. I LOVE the dirt diving jokes...because they are soooo true. The sad thing is that I LOVE dirt diving about 100 times more than the dirt diving jokes.

I am going to be a little harsh, but being a VERY private person, this kind of thing REALLY pisses me off. Why can't "Joe" keep your personal get-togethers to himself? Why mention ANYTHING at all...to anyone, expecially in the presence of those whom you do not wish to invite? (That is quite rude of him.) Also, nobody would care about your get-together at all or invite themselves over, if it wasn't brought up to THEM first... If Joe cannot control himself verbally (ridiculous)...why not, at least, explain to the others that it is a SMALL get-together with ONLY your closest friends. Why would anyone assume that they are invited unless they were? I cannot believe that these guests not only invited themselves, but that they have invited their children over, as well. How completely annoying, rude and self-centered of them. It's interesting how many people assume that everyone LOVES spending personal time with their children, as much as they do. Being a former school teacher, I know how parents can be blind about still having good manners when it comes to their own children. I adore children myself, but not everyone wants to spend time with them at these kinds of get-togethers. The next time that you have a party or get-together, you should definitely lay down the law as to who IS or IS NOT invited into your own home. I'm sorry that you have been put in this situation... Well, you saw us all at Mardi Gras, but I LOVE this PM photo, in particular, that I saw on the PM WEBSITE (I cropped it a tiny bit.) The PM sisters shown are (left to right) BKdice, AllisonJr, Melstarr and Vanillaskygirl. (Deva is in the background.) Btw, if you remember, this was taken the night that I was left at the DZ with wet hair after a long day of jumping. My hair looks fine in the pics...lol. I remember changing quickly in the bathroom, retouching my makeup at the DZ and running a brush though my hair (tucking the ends under) after it air dried. I guess that I'm not sooo high-maintenance, after all...

You're very pretty, Ashley. About the second pic, hahaha...I also get ready that way (or braless, if possible). My top goes on LAST!!!
