  1. JP is scared...lol. Whatever...if you can fit on my backside, you can rodeo ME, Aubrey! Let's hope ya don't break me...
  2. Please send me some chocolate, too. I will not kill you. Please?
  3. That's so nice. I'm so happy for you both.
  4. Noooo...you know that's not true, don't you? Many people here love you.
  5. To acheive the specific wingloading he was looking for. When "superloading" canopies there is a major drop off in perfomance at specific loadings. Thank you! That is exactly what I thought. Yay, my canopy control ground school coach taught me something new...thanks Tigger!
  6. Maybe I can do a rodeo on Amazon or you with another skychickie on you or Amazon, and we can pass the Barbie while sitting on your backs and making sure that you and Amazon are linked in a belly two-way.
  7. Not Likely LMAO...I agree with Hookitt. By the way, not that I will ever even think about landing anything anywhere near as small...but I am under 2.5 on the VX39...lol. Dom, I have a question about part of your post. Why was Luigi wearing 20 lbs. of lead?
  8. I have seen Luigi, who is tiny, but STILL...OMFG!!! How does that even work? Is there a picture of the canopy or video/pics of Luigi in canopy flight. How did he test this canopy for the first time? Was it a high altitude hop'n'pop for the first flight or what?
  9. Perhaps you can mostly move all day/night on Sat-Sun and come jump with everyone all day Monday.
  10. Yes, I will be there for the whole Memorial Day weekend, and I would love to also initiate you into the Pink Mafia. Let me know when you want to do that...we can do it anytime.
  11. I added Lawrocket to the list. Anyone else that is new should add his/her name to this list.
  12. Oooo...I am soooo happy that you two are coming, Shannon. Maybe I can initiate you then into the Pink Mafia and hopefully Iwan can video the jump for us.
  13. OMG Kelli, I was going to write that. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE their housewares, Kelli....just LOOOOOOOOOVE them!!! They have the cutest Indonesian style baskets, candles, pillows, blankets, frames, etc. LOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!!! Girl, about their tops...they don't do it for my body type. I have only broken down and bought one of their active tops, and it looks sooo odd on me...
  14. Based on that picture posted, this person (he or she or whatever) totally looks like a beautiful latina female, imo. Her face reminds me of my mother when my mother was younger, except my mother was even more gorgeous. (I don't look like her.) What Adam's apple is everyone talking about? I am attaching a pic from that website that Cornish provided. It looks like a girl to me, except with a little harshness in the face (nose/mouth area). That is where she differs most from my mother, who has high cheekbones, but also has a smaller, softer mouth/jawline, for example. I must admit that I am a little annoyed that this person looks so great in lingerie. Damn her...er...him!
  15. Let me share a little secret. Manufacturing companies that design and manufacture clothing for mid-tier companies, design for the Target customer, also. Design companies design/manufacture for many VASTLY different department and specialty (private label) stores. In the apparel industry, depending on your market, design houses usually send new designs EVERY DAY to various clients/companies on top of designing for market each month. As a designer, you soon realize that with each season's important fads...there is only so much (design-wise) that can be done to stay within a particular company's price points if the price points are limited, such as would be the case with Target. Sometimes, there are only slight variations design-wise on what other (nicer) stores have in terms of design/style. The main difference in each clothing line for each vendor (Target) across the country are the clothing colors, themes and fabrics. These vary per client (vary greatly each season, of course) and are usually set by the clients, not us. (Sometimes, they go with our lines, though, of course, and sell our lines in their shops with our lables...if we are better known apparel houses.) The client's (Target, etc.) specs (specifications in measurements per length/width, etc. per clothing item) are also the main difference in the clothing. Specs are determined by the client's customer size/shape and the preferred fit of their garments. Some companies go with our particular specs and put their label into our designs. Many fashion houses are unknown to the public by their industry names because we cater to private label companies that are very well-known. Personally, I have never designed for Target, but I have to say that I wouldn't be TOTALLY against it, like I used to be. Since our economy is in the state that it's in, many people are frugal with their money nowadays. So...don't feel so bad about liking Target clothing. The same designers that may be designing/manufacturing for stores that are considered nicer and better quality may be designing your Target clothing. I, myself, do not shop for clothing at Target (just not for me...and doesn't fit my body type), but I LOVE to buy my summer, straw handbags at TARGET! Once, I even admitted that I LOVE Target for my summer bags to fellow designers at work, and they either came out of the Target closet or began to shop for their straw summer bags there, as well.
  16. You're welcome, Kris. You deserve it, kiddo! Btw, it would be my honor to initate you (as well as Darcy, Lew and many other deserving Elsi gals!) into the Pink Mafia. Kris, you would be such an asset to our organization. Please say "yes", sweetie. Is this weekend good for you? PM me please.
  17. Maybe I should begin a "Do you know how awesome Ed is?" poll.
  18. You look absolutely BEAUTIFUL, Bet!!! Wow, you truly look AMAZING!!!
  19. Rob, I am a fairly new skydiver (one year ~159 jumps), but I must say that your idea of going to a wind tunnel is the best alternative, in my opinion. I suggest taking one of the Skyventure tunnel camps in either Florida or California. Most camps are 1 hour of tunnel time spread out over 3 days or so. The overall tunnel camps are designed with lectures, dirt-diving, tunnel sessions, video debriefs, etc. and, yes, I have seen AFF students in these camps, not just experienced flyers. They cater the camps to help each person individually with his/her level of skills. The tunnel in Orlando, Florida is less expensive per minute, but the one in Perris, CA is actually on the DZ...so maybe you can both fly in the tunnel and go through AFF all at once. You can also call Skydive Elsinore www.skydiveelsinore.com, which is only 20 minutes away from Perris' tunnel and can offer AFF (perhaps slightly cheaper) and tunnel time and/or Perris, of course, at www.perrisvalleyskydiving for their AFF program and tunnel prices. Call and speak to the wind tunnel people in Orlando and Perris and/or e-mail Brannan through the Skyventure website www.tunnelcamp.com about your problems with turns. Be specific about what your goals are. Be sure to tell them how limited your funds are...perhaps you can get some kind of deal. Good luck and let me know if you decide to come out to California! Btw, my first time in the tunnel was when I had about 100 jumps...and I LOVED IT
  20. Darcy, I LOVE the person that you are...so beautiful inside and out. Not only do you look amazing (so pretty and constantly shrinking...yikes!), it's your personality that really is a complete JOY to be around. You are even happy and talkative in the mornings! (Personally, I need at least a 1/2 hr to myself...in the quiet of the new day. ) Wow, I am so impressed that they would do this. I am so happy for and inspired by you and your friends, Darcy. I wish that I had been there to meet them. This weekend was so difficult to juggle...so many things going on! From the pics, it seems that they are as happy and fun as you are. Btw, they look soooo GREAT!!! I'm sooo glad that they had such a great time, and that a couple of them are perhaps pursuing skydiving. Also...you never know, Darcy, the ones who did not do it may be the ones who keep thinking about it...and keep thinking about it. Then, one day, POW! they may pursue skydiving the most aggressively You just never know...at least you have put the idea into their head, and they are thinking about it.
  21. Can I join you all? I will need for someone to hold my hair... I'm just kidding, Jerry. If you enjoy spending all your time with your lady and she with you, that's absolutely wonderful.
  22. Sweet Mel, please do not ever feel bad for trying to do something nice like that. Chris was just teasing you.
  23. Chances are...if you are doing something which you love and working hard to be the best at it...then you will usually make enough money to make yourself happy. Many times, you will be making a lot of money excelling and working hard at something which you love. If this is the case, then you will find gratification in having done a great job. The money may be secondary. but it can symbolize a just reward for all your hard work and effort. (Of course, it doesn't always work out that way.) Also, if you make enough money to be able to afford some of the finer things in life, there is nothing wrong with that. Work hard, play hard...and enjoy the fruits of your labor. I find it strange to read that people "hate" money. I think that what they are saying is that they hated what they had to do to get the money. Or...they realized that they couldn't manage their money once they had it. Or...material possessions were trying to be used as substitutes for happiness. I do not think that there should be shame or unhappiness associated with wealth and material possessions. My family works very hard and can be considered "wealthy", but they also are key (former President, now Treasury) in actively running a non-profit charity organization. They are also putting several people through college and have helped countless people financially, etc. They have been able to help many, many people with their finances. There is nothing evil about that. Furthermore, my family travels extensively for enjoyment and work. They enjoy experiences that they could not if they did not have the finances. They are happy people...even with money because money is not the end all, be all for them. They have always respected and treated equally people with very little money, such as janitors, maids, etc., as well as people with money, such as fellow doctors. They taught me to be the same way...which is why I have no issues being friends with anyone...money or not. Money is not the problem. (It is only a substitute for a bartering system.) It's how you deal with having it that is the problem.
