Hi Everyone - I'm in Athens for the Olympics!
VanillaSkyGirl replied to ranchgirl's topic in The Bonfire
CRYSTAAAAAAL!!! That is fabulous news! Congrats, baby! I am so happy for you, girl. Please keep us posted, for sure. -
I think they actually said fuck the pink mafia and created their own club - Blow Joe... Of course they did... The Pink Mafia founding sisters Alli, Mel and Brooke acknowledge that the Pink Mafia is not for everyone. No big deal! Have fun BJs (Blow Joes)!
-
you were in more photos on the website than anyone else! Good lord, how embarrassing... I totally apologize, everyone. I took ground pics the days that I was there. I should have placed the ones with me and friends in them in a personal folder to email to myself. Sorry!

Vibes to all Floridian Skydivers (and all others)
VanillaSkyGirl replied to Michele's topic in The Bonfire
Oh no! Sending my love and prayers to them both, as well as to all others out that way! -
Move to SoCal...it's not so bad here. Trust me...you will be in skydiving heaven if you make that move.
-
You apparently didn't fight the urge to go back very strongly...are you there, yet? Good for you, girl! I am soooo jealous and wish that I was back there, as well. Damn, now I have to wait until next year...
-
I agree! Robyn is pretty cool!
-
So I was looking at WFFC threads and came across this one about Jake's "bum accident"...TOO FUNNY!!! So, does this mean that he has road rash on his ass? Judging from that first pic, at least he will get some color on there...lol. Btw, what body parts of Dagimp have not been hurt? Seriously... Be careful everyone...& PARTY HARD for those of us who went home already...dammit!
-
So Acme, tell us...did you ever get into the jacuzzi with the margaritas? It sounded like fun!!!!
-
That's AWESOME!!! Congrats to you!!! Salud!

To those who may not know...the wonderful folks at the front gate are AWESOME!!! I had to leave at 4 am on Wednesday late night (actually Thursday morning). It was freezing, we were falling asleep and nobody was sober. A friend (Paolo) let me crash in his rental car with the heater on from about 3 am to 4am...then, the folks at the gate came to his car to get me when the taxi that they called for me arrived to take me to the airport. They even held on to my luggage for me at the front where they were stationed until I was ready to go. I will not forget them and how awesome they were! I have to say that they truly ROCKED!!! Even the taxti cab driver was nice...he gave me his water bottle and let me rest while he drove. The airport brought me a wheelchair, so I didn't have to walk around with my cane. Good people in Rantoul and Champaign...
-
Val, I was so happy to finally meet you! You're awesome!
-
YOUR CANE...oh, was THAT was that was? I thought that you were just happy to see me... I promise, it's yours vewy, vewy soon, my friend...
-
Melisssssssssa!!! Still picking up the pieces, dear... I shall be whole by tomorrow, I promise! How are you? Going back?
-
Hey...that bike was white hot! HH, my cane misses you, and so do I!
-
What am I a NUN? Yes, we all SUCK! Rantoul was awesome, although I am sooo out of money. (I visited one too many vendors...) Also, I was plastered and slept only about 2 hours EVERY night...so there! I even extended my trip. Thankfully, I was too tired, cold and drunk to extend my trip a second time, as my friends were trying to get me to do. Seriously though, since I didn't jump, I had a lot of fun at night! I am sort-of bunt out from partying, though. I feel like this right now ---> Too bad you couldn't make it, Remi...
-
At least she came... What he said...too tired to type!
-
That was for my personal collection... Sorry! I have to look at these pics now that I have time. Btw, Michael, Lew, Ed, Eric, Chango, etc. are AWESOME people!
-
I think that I may have seen Clay's breasteses at the convention...but, then again, I saw many breasts. They could have been anyone's. It was all a big blur to me... Also, in Clay's defense, how do you know that the sheep weren't hitting on HIM.
-
DITTO! I can't believe that I extended my visit, but I'm finally back home now. Sorry Val, I didn't really take personal pics while at the convention or I'd post them. I did take ground shots for the website as that was my job while I was at the convention, but I haven't had those e-mailed to myself, yet, either. I'm soooo tired...I feel like this --->
-
Ah, it's ok...bitch away, Bozo. It sucks to be like this... You will get better, I promise. My physical therapist says that I need a minimum of 2 more months before I attempt to fly, so I can keep you company on the ground for a while. When we are healed...you'd better jump with me, dammit! Feel better, my friend...
-
Hey you, absolutely NO sulking allowed!!!

Thanks, Skyminxx, Ladyskydiver and Andyman for your posts! I'm glad that you all liked it. I wanted to share DESIDERATA again with a friend of mine, and I thought that others may also benefit from reading it today. It is hanging in my BF's place, and I love to read it slowly to myself every so often when I need to remind myself of what is truly important.

DESIDERATA/1692 Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for there will always be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and oneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. Found in Old St. Paul's Church, Baltimore: 1692
