  1. Why would it matter to anyone else what languages that you speak fluently? Well, it doesn't. It's nobody's business. Speak whatever language or languages that you want to speak. That same respect should be given to others.
  2. You never answered the question that was previously asked. How many languages do you speak fluently?
  3. Now, THAT sounds like something that's been thought through.
  4. YES... Hey Keely, what if I had made it out that way, and you and I had gone and were the only two in the theatre? Too funny!!!! For the record, that is way more hard-core sounding that I would have thought. I don't know about such things since I'm not a porn watcher (have seen porn, but it's not my thing). I'm not so sure about that film...maybe if I could see if with my boyfriend. You know, just so he could explain things to me...
  5. Ooooo...goggles AND a speedo!!!
  6. Well, whatever floats your geek boat! (Kidding!)
  7. I could see that! Are we taking bets? You and Arlo will kill!
  8. I'm feeling ornery today, what can i say? It's HILARIOUS!!!!!! What if I had changed mine this morning? Even funnier!
  9. It's actually not that nice of a "mansion", but okay.
  10. Hmm nice.. I've never been there. When you reach paradise will you send me an invitation? WAIT Just adopt me When invited into the Playboy mansion, you can only invite other (attractive) females. No males can be invited, unless they are directly invited by Hefner.
  11. YAAAY Denise! I'm so happy that I'm going to be roomies with you and Skymama!
  12. FABULOUS idea, Wendy! No, your friends don't sound like geeks at all. Actually, that's a great way to become better exposed to various cultures and different languages. Thankfully, my parents have always had Peruvian physician friends, but they have often spoken several languages fluently in their homes, including Spanish, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, German, etc. Most places where I have worked have been quite international, as well, so I've been exposed to American, French, Spanish, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Russian, British, Thailand, middle-eastern, etc. Always within one company alone! If more people were exposed to cultural differences in a more enjoyable setting, like a dinner or via close friends, then perhaps their experiences would be of more tolerance and enrichment, instead of unacceptance and fear/dislike of the unknown.
  13. I'm not even home, girlie. Gia has all the details. She needs to call ALL of us, or Pm us...SOON! Tomorrow...take care, Ev, and have fun making the cookies!
  14. PLEASE be careful, sweetie. Do NOT burn yourself when taking them out of the oven.
  15. It's not always "society" that makes people bashful or shy. Some people just are more naturally shy than others. My best friend growing up (age 6-12) was extremely non-chalant about her nudity her whole life, and I was always more shy/reserved. It's similar to the way that some people's personalities are more outgoing than others. She was always extremely outgoing, and I was more timid (not so much now). See? Oh, and for the record, I've been totally nude in public before. There...that is my confession.
  16. Now I'm glad that I was shy and tried that bikini top on in Bonnie's trailer bathroom away from "peeking" eyes. Eh, you have such a great body, Shannon, I should have stayed and "peeked" back!
  17. I agree. Many cool people are on this site! It's so true that many skydivers only lurk (especially the really experienced ones), but if they recognize you or know you from your DZ...they'll send you PMs. Trust me, after you get some more jumps under your belt, you'll probably be PMed more from fellow skydivers and even coaches/LOs from your DZ to let you know of upcoming events at the DZ. (It's wonderful!) You'd be so surprised at who posts and reads/lurks DZ.com.
  18. Most of my PMs are from people, whom I am friends with in "real life". There are MANY DZ.commers that jump either at Elsinore or Perris, and the rest, I meet up with when I travel. Do you not see DZ.commers at your DZs or regularly?
