  1. Comeing his back hair. I think I threw up a little. Regarding 12 inches...bigger can be much, much better (don't forget about girth, too), but 12 inches would break some of us. Wait a minute, what are we supposed to be talking about in this thread?
  2. Gosh, you really need to just do it! You will NOT be disappointed. Trust me!
  3. Thank you, and I've exited last before, as well. Loads of fun!!! Well, thanks for the help. Hopefully, more people will post soon...
  4. Thank you, but I know the basics of 10-way speed stars, my friend. I was asking for more specific advice. Have you worked on anything bigger than a four-way before Of course, silly! I've been on a 17-way, 14-ways and several 10-ways (some formation loads and my first 5 speed stars) and 8-ways. I PREFER 4-ways for the speed and multi-points. Speaking of what we have and have not done. Avion, have you ever jumped out of a plane?
  5. Ah, I understand. That sounds so HORRIBLE, and a little like maybe one "skygod" that I know of (NOT anyone at Elsinore). I haven't run into too many asshole "skygods" at all. (Thank God!!!!) As a matter of fact, I have felt that the opposite is true. The best skydivers seem to be the ones who have nothing to prove and are not trying to "show off", and the ones who are mediocre are the ones who have the attitudes. My first DZ was a small DZ, and I honestly felt that there can be more down-to-earth attitudes at the larger DZs that I jump at now. Elsinore, in particular, is like family. I feel similar about Perris.
  6. [replyThat one can be amusing in both directions. Well, definitely, but the Little Fish in Big Ponds are called NEWBIES! Everyone has been there. Thankfully, newbie insecurities and inexperience can usually be dealt with by flying more and gaining experience.
  7. Ok, I was recently asked to jump on an all-girl 10-way speed star team in a (mostly fun) competition which takes place tomorrow. I haven't really been flying (due to health), but I did one jump on Tuesday afternoon to stay current and flew in the tunnel last night (10 min. session) to get back into the groove. What should I keep in mind for this weekend? It is a low-pressure and mostly fun comp, but I don't want to embarrass myself or my team mates. I would just like some pointers, since I don't really know anything about 10-way speed stars. I've actually never been in any skydiving comps, yet, not even "fun" ones like this. (Ooops...BEER.) I am going to just try my best and stay relatively confident/calm, so I can fly well. Anything else that I should try to do, besides have fun?
  8. NOICE!!! I can hardly wait to meet her, Gia! Woohoo...
  9. The Big Fish in a Little Pond They are the big cheese at their small DZs...known at their DZ for being hot shit "great" flyers and are used to being looked up to by the newbies at their DZ. They generally think that they've already been there and done that and like thinking that they are special. They usually are more than a little proud, almost arrogant, about their mediocre skills, too. That is, until they get to a large DZ with amazing, world-class flyers. Then, they realize that they have so much more to learn, and their egos (hopefully) deflate back to normal. Sometimes, they even get coaching with the world class flyers in hopes that they can party with, network with and/or befriend them and (hopefully, again) become better flyers, as well. The ones that can take the criticism without worrying about possible embarrassment to their egos, do much better than those that think that they are fine flying as they do. (Tunnel sessions and sky videos don't lie.) It seems like many people fitting that description come to Perris and Elsinore. It's not a bad thing, just an interesting observation.
  10. You'd be surprised. My boyfriend drives an awesome TRUCK! It's fun and sooo him. I love him, so I love the truck. Edited: Manly men are the BEST...
  11. Great! Thanks Bill! So far Gia, Evelyn and I are planning to leave Elsinore at 10 am on Friday. We are waiting to hear from Darcy. (I will PM her right now.) If we cannot all fit in Gia's vehicle due to our gear being too much bulk, then maybe one of us can stay behind, go over the hill and make some jumps until you get there. We should make concrete plans over this weekend, so we all know what the plan is. Btw, are you jumping in Perris this weekend? You are also planning to go to Skydive Mesquite on Saturday 1/29, correct?
  12. Yup! I have to admit it, though, Porshes are fun to ride in! Bwahahaha!!! "Fancy sedans"...LOVE IT!
  13. I just read: "Vegas, Baby, Vegas!" "So what are you looking forward to?" "Sex and Vehicles"
  14. Wow...how hard-core! That's awesome, JT! Don't worry, I don't have a problem adjusting to other's fall rates, JT. People are always so worried when they see me and how small I am compared to them, that is...until we fly together. Trust me, it's a non-issue. We are all really looking forward to seeing you, your girlie (Melissa, right?) and Skydive Mesquite friends, too!
  15. You didn't include the "Luxury" category, such as Porshe, Mercedes, Audi, BMW, etc.
  16. Yes, it should be fine...no pressure at all! Like I said, we may be there at 9, or we may not end up there at 10 am and still have to waiver and all. No worries about the planes not being ready. We just want to meet the local jumpers and have fun! Jeannie and I will be available to initiate Pink Mafia members then, as well. No, the ladies wouldn't do that because I may desperately NEED TO be on a plane that night to fly back to SoCal. If I am pied, I will not have time to shower or clean-up before going to the airport. Wet hair on a flight = potential cold!
  17. Sorry for taking so long, JT, but I was talking to Gia on the phone! Yes, we are going to jump on Saturday the 29th. We were thinking of leaving from Vegas to Mesquite at either 8 or 9 am (depending on how late we are out the night before), hopefully 8am, of course! We should be there within an hour or so. We are not staying at Skydive Mequite at night, though. I MAY have to take a plane trip back to California Saturday night (maybe), and Bill and Amy are going to see Blue Man Group on Sat. night at 7 pm. The rest of us are not seeing a show that night (so far), so if we have no reason to go back right away, perhaps we can stay until sunset load. I may be hitting my 200th jump that weekend. I hope that either Billvon or one of the Mesquite organizers can organize a nice jump for me. (NO PIE on 200th or I'm never returning...hehe! ) Also, I need to rent a main (Spectre or Sabre2 150), since I have not been jumping and have no main. I am jumping this weekend, though...hopefully, I will not be too rusty. Also, we are meeting at Skydive Elsinore on Friday the 28th at 10 am and leaving for Vegas from there. We should be in Vegas on Friday before 4pm.
  18. I am SO HAPPY that you are going, Gia. We are going to have a blast!!! ~ We can always sit a little closer to each other. Also, Jeannie can sit shotgun with you driving. Evelyn, Darcy and I can sit in the back if we can fit three people back there. If I sit in the seat behind Jeannie...with my short limbs and her long ones, it's all good. If not, we can split up when we go to Mesquite and half of us can go with Bill and Amy, if it's ok with them. Btw, how far is skydive Mesquite from our hotel? Where is the airport where Jeannie will be flying into? What are we doing for entertainment at night?
  19. I just love seeing smiles during freefall.
  20. I would recommend going to both Perris and Elsinore, but make sure that you experience Elsinore on the weekends because it's not as active during the week as Perris can sometimes be. Personally, I favor ELSINORE because it is much more beautiful (view and DZ layout) and the people (both jumpers and staff) are the BEST. Since the 2 DZs are about 20 minutes away from each other, you should try to go to both. Not too many people who say "Perris is the best" or "Elsinore is the best" have been to both. Both are very different, but both have so much to offer. Also, don't forget to visit the tunnel in Perris with Elsinore coaches (many are hottie skychicks) or with coaches from Perris. I will be jumping more at Elsinore than Perris, now that I am going to jump regularly again (beginning tomorrow in a fun 10-way competition). I will be jumping at Perris every so often, as well, though, so I'll see you whenever you come out this way.
  21. Ummm...no. I just mean that I don't think that you would post anything risque online to upset Andrea...or anyone else. Right?
  22. Awww..,thanks for that Jaye. I'm sure that lil Chelle also appreciates that. Anyhoo, if anyone only liked us for our size, then that guy can KISS MY ASS, too!!! (That's totally unacceptable! )
  23. Maybe he needs to hear from a 95 lb. chick, that I also think that he's a boner biting bastard Uncle Focker!!! Just a thought.
  24. Dogs are so cool! He looks handsome, too. Good for you for getting him from a rescue organization, Chelle!
  25. Andrea, I totally understand where you are coming from regarding not having sexy pictures on the internet because of your children and all. Of all people, I actually trust Jake with a camera. I don't think that Jake would post anything that you didn't want posted...or we'll have to break his other wrist (just kidding!), but I'm sure that you are also worried about other people who may be wandering around with cameras. I do, however, hope that you dress in something that you feel not only comfortable in, but also in something a little more sexy or cute. I was finally caving in myself and going to wear something cute and even a little sexy myself, and you know how I can be self-conscious about wearing clothing that is too revealing. We can still wear tasteful lingerie...I think. Hope this makes you feel more comfortable about your V-day outfit. I'm sure that you will look beautiful no matter what you wear.
