Yes, I completely understand. (I live in Porter Ranch myself.) We will try to be at Perris at around sunset. Most likely we'll be at the tunnel (stick your head in as you leave, if you can), unless we can make it to Perris in time to watch/be around for Michele's Memorial Jump. I'll keep my eye out for you, sweetie. If not, maybe the following Saturday at Perris? We can try to get in some RW jumps together, if you'd like.

I've added lightningbugirl. Hope she makes it! Keely, at Elsinore it's going to be informal safety seminars (mostly in the afternoon, depending on how the jumping is going), and they are making the hanging harness available for Emergency Prodedure drills, if you would like to try those. Either way, I hope that you can make it. There will be a few people, like Gia, who will not be jumping, but who are going to the DZ for this event. We are also heading over to Perris around sunset.

No Kaytee, we were never introduced in Eloy, nor at Mardi Gras. I am positive. Trust me, I have an excellent memory. I often remember intricate details that others never do. If we have met in Eloy or Mardi Gras boogie, then please tell me how and where exactly. Also, who introduced us? If we really have met, and I didn't know that it was you, then I apologize. I only remember very briefly meeting you in Sebastian. I was watching the film with one drink still in my cold hands. It was probably around 11:30 or close to midnight. Turtle walked up, and I greeted him and began looking at his costume (wow bondage-like!) You came over and sat down to my right. I asked you if you were "Kaytee" and said something like, "Wow, girlie, you go" (in reference to the costumes ~ yours and Turtle). You told me that I was so cute. We all smiled warmly. Then, you two went happily off to the smoky dance/packing hanger. See? I remember. I just don't know whose username belongs to which person/face.

Thank you so much, Kaytee. Wow, it's sooo...I have no words. I am stunned, but not surprised after chatting about this the other night with you, at the accuracy of your readings. Gia's for instance, rang true to me. (She is my good friend.) Anyway, dear, I really do think that you are doing a wonderful job with this. It's so nice of you to be taking time to do this for us because it really means a lot. (Not to mention, it must be quite draining.) Btw, I try not to talk of truly private things online, but you have addressed certain things that I have been concentrating upon as of late so well within my reading. Here is my reading:

That does make harder to handle, it really shows us that it can happen to any of us. Yes, that's my whole point. We think that we would never make that mistake of not pulling. We think that we would do everything that we could humanly do to save our lives, pull every handle, fight to the finish before going in. I'm sure that Michele thought the very same thing when she was alive.

It's true that once the time comes to jump, what you just described is probably what will be the case for 'Chelle, myself and anyone else who is upset and frightened by Michele's death. Many of us haven't jumped, yet, since hearing the news and have had the whole week to think about it. I have been jumping very infrequently myself, so there is apprehension since I tend to analyze things like crazy while on the ground. Yet, I know that when I actually go to jump, I won't feel that way because I will be focused on the jumps. I can't speak for 'Chelle, but the way in which Michele went in was so gruesome and almost unbelievable...no canopy out whatsoever. It is so frustrating and very mentally difficult for us to deal with, rather than with the death of someone under canopy from a low turn. That is what has me and all my friends spooked the very most. It's quite disturbing to know that this is a death from a no pull. It is especially disturbing when we know that she knew better than that.

I adore the accelerated skill progression that one can acquire from working on skills with a coach in the tunnel. Also, the tunnel doesn't lie. People instantly know where you stand as a body pilot when they see you in the tunnel.
