    For some reason I look at those puppets and think of those overweight creepy guys wantering around the Entertainment tent at WFFC with their video Cameras and mardi Gras beads..... Come on, you all know who I am talking about!!! Edited to add: Not talking about Fast Eddie - Don't know how these weirdo's get in, but for some reason every girl gives them titties.....     Agreed. I live just 4 miles from Tuttle Creek Resevoir, the Second larges Lake in Kansas. Fiththy lake filled with runoffs from Nebraska. There are two Large Spillway tubes used to control the Level of the Lake - Each tube about 15 feet in Diameter with large Cement Pillars in frot acting as a filter. Every year or so Divers are send down to clean the gate and check for wear & tear. To make a long story short, about two of these Monster Catfish came up from the tube and out of curiosity put their mouths around the arms of the divers. Scared the divers out of the water.... Every 5 years the river is damed up and the flood tubes are pumped empty. You can walk through the tubes - really a neat experience. I've seen carcases of Catfish even larger than that....     When I took my Course, my Evaluators SduCoach and another guy would ask the applicants why they wanted to get their ratings. Any answer involving money would result in a serious talking-to. I hear people getting their ratings for this reason all too much.... =========Shaun ==========

    Looking back at my post, it doesn't seem fair for me to make a statement like that and not back it to some degree...... I bought my Z1 about a year and a half ago for around $235 USD. It was probably one of the more expensive helmets available. It looks good, it feels good, and I like having a flip visor so I can get some fresh air under canopy. My grievience with the Z1 lies in it's craftmanship. I paid over $200 for a pre-molded shell with velcro padding on the inside. I have since had my rigger Redo the padding almost twice due to it's poor craftmanship. I am further disappointed with the lense assembly, and for that amount of money, I would expect a little more. Now why I wish I would have gone with the Factory Diver -- Uncomplicated, carefree, needs no maintanence, durable, and better quality than the Z1. Even without the flip-visor, it would have been a better Decision IMO.... =========Shaun ==========

    Conbeerulations!!! I remember long ago when I got my Coach Rating (last October ), how good it felt. I come from a Singel 182 DZ, and about 10 minutes after finishing my Eval Dive, the DZO give me a student to do his Check Dive out of a B90 King Air - HOW COOL IS THAT!!! Screw getting your jumps paid for - Coaching and helping other skydivers along their way is a rush in itself!! =========Shaun ==========

    In my Experience, Catfish That Large that Have been feeding off the bottom for years taste like mud.... Amazing animal though.... Sometimes it's hard to believe we have monstors like that living in our own lakes & streams!! =========Shaun ==========

    I love Safety Day. I don't know if we will have one at our DZ Because of a First Jump Class that day, but I will go to A safety Day whereever I can go. So much fun! =========Shaun ==========

    HOly Crap dude - Doesn't look like your military--What gives??? How about this, next time I jump, I take a Jar with me and seal up some of the air from altitude, I'll mix it with some beer and a little Jet A, then mail that too you...... Amost like being at the DZ!!! =========Shaun ==========

    Why do Skydivers drink on Friday or Saturday nights?!?! It doesn't make any sense to me at all!!! You need to catch the first load in the morning, people!!!! Don't drink beer, go to bed early and wake up in time to be the first one out at the DZ!!! =========Shaun ==========

    I play the Doube Bass in the Kansas State University Orchestra, and upright in A Jazz band and two Combo's. I used to play the Electric Bass, but after playing the upright for over 8 years, I just can't stand the Bass Guitar -- BTW, I make most of my Money playing my Double Bass at weddings with my String Ensemble.
