    My guess is that it develops early on as a child. Just like some kids who are scared of Santa at the mall or Goofy at Disney. Some kids love them, others are scared to death of them. Clowns tend to "get in your face" more and are loud and acting all cazy sometimes. To a child who is scared of them, I am sure it can become quite traumatic. Then as teens or adults, they see the scary clowns in films and such and it just makes the fear that much worse. But I would guess that the root of the fear is as a child.

    they have nice bathrooms though, right? i mean... you DID get to know the bathroom very very very well! HA HA HA And yes, the bathroom door shutting is always a good thing!

    Red Carpet Inn is closest. That is where we always stay. It aint 5 star, maybe not even 3 star, but it is clean enough and has hot water. Best bet in town. There are the bigger chain hotels about 15 minutes up the road, but I don't have any info on them. Red Carpet Inn- 856-728-8000

    I once had a tandem student that was so afraid of clowns that when I walked up to her wearing a Pennywise (band) t-shirt, she started crying because she associated the name with Pennywise the clown from "It." I changed my shirt for her and she was very grateful. Poor girl was already scared enough about the tandem, it was the least I could do.

    There isn't really any bunkhouse or anything, but there is camping. We could either bring a couple tents and rough it, or get a room or two. Or get a room for Friday nigh and then camp for Saturday night. Whatchya think?
