I was wondering if anyone out there could give me their opinion on universities in Florida. I am hoping to transfer there fall of 2004 to pursue my dream of being a marine biologist. So far, I am only thinking about applying to Florida State University and University of Tampa. I have only been to Florida twice, and I have never had the opportunity to take a campus tour, look around the city, etc. If anyone has ever lived there, went to school in Florida, or has any connections to Florida, PLEASE let me know what you think. i agree, i didn't feel the needle going through my tongue. mine only started hurting afterwards when the bruising set in. if you want a painful piercing, get your cartilage done. i couldn't sleep on that side of my head for at least 4 months and i couldn't even stand to touch it or let alone have someone bump it. _________________________________________ all good things are wild and free - Henry David Thoreau

actually when i had mine done, i barely felt it. to list in order of the most amount of pain to least i would say that cartilage hurts like hell, then the naval kinda scares ya, but the tongue is a breeze. yeah, it feels weird sticking it out and having it clamped down (that's what actually hurts, not the needle going through) and having someone's hands all over it. hints: as soon as you get it pierced start sucking on ice. do that for about 3-4 days and the swelling will go down a great deal instead of waiting a week - week and a half. by the way, has anyone ever tried the vibrating tongue rings??? i have been curious about those. if they actually work, i might have to make some suggestions to the bf. _________________________________________ all good things are wild and free - Henry David Thoreau

Ok, this is mainly for the men, but i am also curious to find out what other women think about this subject matter: a female w/ a pierced tongue. i had mine done last november and my bf hasn't complained a bit about what he can get out of it. haha! (devilish laugh) what is your reaction when you see someone (especially a female) with their tongue pierced? do you get all grossed out and swear that you will never do it and you will never allow someone close to you pierce it? or do you smile to yourself thinking "oh yeah" and envision how you could put that pierced tongue to use? i guess i am asking this because i haven't seen too many females around here (maybe cuz i live in hillbilly kansas) with pierced tongues. let me know what you think ~myownway "if you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much space."
