    During my AFF, I had to do 2 sit fly jumps. On both jumps, my altimeter came off, but I managed to hold onto it both times with my fingers. At high speeds, I guess these kinds of things are bound to happen! Luckily, I didnt lose it like some of you did!! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~

    I am the same way as most of you that I have just read about. I get scared on the ground and sometimes I get scared when discussing certain issues pertaining to skydiving, but I am done with the door phobia. In a week or so, I will be doing my first jump in 2 1/2 months. I have more experience now than I did during my last break, so I am more confident, but I can still sense a little bit of apprehension in me! When I think about the fact that little me likes to hurtle myself at the earth at high speeds from a height so high that you cannot be viewed from the ground, that kinda freaks me out. When I actually do it, it is all easy going and so much fun. That is why I love skydiving so much!! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~

    I just checked out my bday and it is 2 days away from my real birthday. Guess I'll just celebrate them together! Happy birthday.     Just like someone else said Yin and Yang. It is a term that is applied to pretty much everything, just in different terminology. You only live once, so why not do what makes you happy? If someone chose not to skydive due to the losses of the sport, then that might mean that they just dont love it enough. I have asked my friends before what they would do if someone close to them died jumping, would they continue to jump? A,most everyone says yes, just because we know that is what the person who died would want us to do. Compare skydiving to other things that you do in your life. There are gains and losses to everything, but you choose to do those either out of necessity or because the benefits outweigh the losses to you. Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~

    Do they provide you with jumpsuits? You are surely swimming in that, but you are so teeny! That looks like so much fun and it makes me even more excited for when i get to go in a week and a half! I have never been in the tunnel before and can choose my coaching as far as RW or FF and the choice is hard.... hmmm.... probably both Good pics, thanks for sharing Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~

    Yes, maybe I could have worded it differently. There were a total of 80 slots open for the boogie. Sherry invited anyone that she knows to go and if AerOhio Doesnt know your skills, you just have to have a good recommendation from a colleague. Don't know if there are still slots or not, but if someone really wants to go, I am sure they could get Sherry's email from the AerOhio or USPA site and ask her :) Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~

    The AerOhio keys boogie is private, but for certain reasons. Don't really have to do butt kissing to go, but you have to be able to prove that you are an excellent canopy flyer, since you only have a small and restricted area to land at unless you want to be in the drink. One of the prerequisites of being a good canopy flyer is the posession of a C license by their terms and probably liability insurance terms as well. It is open to a limited number of people so everyone can do more than a jump or two a day. RDutch, have a good time. AerOhio is my home dz and I wish I could join you all. A fun and good bunch of people :) Off the top pf my head, I cant think of any AerOhio-dz.commers that would be there. Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~

    A lady brought 2 English Bulldogs into my work the other day and they looked just like that. It was weird, one of them had something called "cherry eyelids" where she was born with a 3rd eyelid. It is being removed once she reaches maturity. Does the puppy posted have blue eyes or is it just the lighting? Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~

    Phlp, I think it is really up to you and the extent of your friendship with the best woman. is she too broke to go, or is there some underlying reason for her making you pay?? I really wanted to say that I checked out your website and what a beautiful couple! Congrats on the engagement and I hope that the wedding(s) go well. THe church in France is simply amazing!!     Nightingale, I was told the same thing as you. I currently own a jumpsuit without booties, so I have known nothing different. I am going to the tunnel in a few weeks, so I am just gonna do the coaching w/o the booties, however, I am now quite excited to get them sometime soon. I'll let ya know if it is a big change or not- hopefully it helps, but I am still able to fly! Good luck deciding Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~

    I am a huge coffee drinker (6+ cups a day) I will only drink my coffee with some kind of flavored creamer- low fat. DOesnt matter what the flaver is, but I have to have something. I think that I have gotten so tired of the coffee taste, that I just need to change it a bit. Massive loads of Red Bull can be expensive, but I need to find a new alternative to coffee that I will like that will not make teeth yellow!!! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
