Speaking with sister trying to coordinate the whole vehicle/"how am I getting around" thing ........I will be at the DZ bright and early Saturday hoping to see lots of smiling faces ready for first load 17 days and counting ~ Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

YEAAAA ~ someone is happy I am coming. I look forward to seeing and playing with everyone. Been TOO LONG since I've been back to Cross Keys. It will be a short trip - come in LATE Thursday and leave EARLY Monday and staying with step-mom in Maple Shade (think that is like 30 minutes from the DZ?). Saturday will be my big jumping day - hope everyone saves me at least one I'm so damn excited!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great Friday! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

I agree with the first 2 responses....take your time and be patient. You are new to the whole skydiving thing in general and if you truly love it, you will have LOTS of time to "master" different skills. Your sit will be your headdown neutral of sorts, so it is IMPERATIVE that you can control that in every way - speed, levels, etc. Headdown is a whole new ball game ~ if you have friends that want to take you out and let you feel it - go play and ALWAYS keep safety first and foremost. Easy for movement, fast movement at that and there are other people in the air with you...on your skydive and the ones before and after you. I started feet-flying at jump 50, and continue to learn today at 800 jumps. I'm confident I could go out on my feet and "be there" with just about anyone but there is always room for improvement. I started working on headdown at about jump 300, with help from some very patient friends. Today at 800 jumps, although I can fly the tube and exit stable, I have no problem admitting I still have TONS to learn. Each discipline provides it's own challenges. Every person learns differently. Some are naturals and some are not but as long as you are being safe, having fun, smiling and learning with each jump - do what makes you happy! THAT is what life is all about! Well my season has been rolling (I'm one of the brats! ) but there has NOT been much to play with, to improve the headdown skills and it's quite frustrating. I'm not opposed to being on my feet and am very comfy there and can always tweek those skills but I had a goal last year, that was SCREWED by the hurricanes and now I can't seem to get back on track. Lots of changes in the old life these days but my goal is to get proficient on my head, in smaller and larger stuff. Just wanna really "fly the old body". Also have made it a BIG GOAL to focus on every jump, no matter what it is, to backtrack. I was never forced to do this and if I want to do bigger headdown stuff, I know it is a must! Hope to see some of you soon....so we can all practice together Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Don't be bitter mister nasty pants - I know you are just itching to see me but things came up for Dublin and I just was not motivated to make an 8 hour drive alone We'll see...maybe I'll come to the Farm - I've heard stories but then again...I seem to be in Thomaston quite a lot so far this year so at least I'm in Georgia Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

So what is the normal jump ship and what will be there for the "birthday party"......cause $110 for 2 days of jumping sure sounds like a crowd puller inner to me - wanna make sure it would be worth the drive...............OR - where is the closest airport to fly in to? No trouble traveling with your rig, you'll see after your first trip. RENTING IS FOR THE BIRDS IN ALL ARENA'S!!!! Sebastian is a fun little place for sure.....despite it being a bit "tore up" due to construction stuff, I'm betting you'll be happy to have some jumps in your log book from there Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

So who is around and wants to comment on the weather.........hoenstly, I'm not thinking I will like an 8 hour drive for cold, somewhat cloudy, non jumpable type weather. Figures my balloon jump is scheduled for Saturday when weather is currently forecasted to be CRAP! So if someone see's Spence, have him chime in on what the cancellation process is for balloon jumps if people opt NOT to make the drive Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Hey Girly Girl! I've had my smack-daddy Rawa camera helmet for 2 weeks now and am finally digging it. I almost cried when I noticed scratches on it already...but decided it just gives it character. Took a few jumps to get used to and now that I don't strap it so tight to my head that I can't move for fear it will fall off, I am enjoying it much more . We'll have to make a jump and GEEK each other ... maybe we can even let Chris be in the middle , if he thinks he could handle it! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

FYI...........I just called the Best Western and there are only 6 rooms (yes 6) left in the entire hotel. All block rooms are gone and they are down to the last few so if you need a room.....CALL TODAY! SERIOUSLY! Bad thing is, all they got left is smoking rooms so bring your bottles of FeBreeze

OK folks - for those who discussed the Saturday afternoon spot, I've HEARD that morning or evenings is normally the best incase of winds. OK, if we are all going to REALLY be on the balloon together, I think we need to send money like now............ugh..........I know I saw somewhere how to do it.............Spence - remind me please! So who is going to be the last one out of the basket and shoot topside video of all the jumps? I did my first in Eloy and it is so quiet and peaceful - but I might want to hold someone's hand on exit . Yippy! We got a cool basketfull! We need to all send in our cash now to lock in our spots - if there are still spots Saturday afternoon, which works for me
