1. African trip. Climbed Kilimanjaro, went on safari, white water rafting the Zambezi, Vic Falls rapelling, lion feeding in Namibia. 2. Belize scuba diving. Plus Mayan ruins in Tikal, Guatemala and Chichen Itza, Mexico. Bar with 100+ different brands of tequila in Playa del Carmen, Mexico was also a highlight of the trip. 3. Thailand. Scuba diving Phuket/Similians and trekking up north near the Burmese/Laotian border. Ayuthaya and Bangkok were ok too. 4. Carnaval in Brazil. my top four. Blues & Beers, Vinny the Anvil

I don't think this is what's on most people's mind at a DZ. Aside from a few Catholic jokes aimed at me in fun, I don't think I've ever seen any skydiver shun or make fun of anyone for being Christian. Skydivers are pretty cool in general - only know a couple I don't care for - and don't do such stupid things as a general rule of thumb. What the hell is this 'cop on the beat' horse-shyte in the article? Having several friends who are cops, I don't think many of them - no, make that ANY of them - would support the local/state/federal government maintaining a list of gun-owners. Why the legislature would even consider wasting their time/money maintaining such a list given the horrid state of some public school systems here in FL is beyond me. If one does it, they all will have to in order to be competetive. It's the wave of the future. Interesting to look how age demographics will soon be affecting the employment scene too. One wonders what the combined effect of the two will be over the next couple of years. Wish I knew more about economics - or had the time to learn. Taken out of context, yes they sound pretty bad. Having read all of the articles in question and knowing their sarcastic tenor, I find the quotes as funny now as I did when I first read them. This 9-11 Commission's coverage by the media is a testament to the failure of the education system here (thanks NEA!).
