One of the main problem with Kerry is that when one examines his votes throughout his Senate career, his statements, and the facts in question on almost any issue it is impossible to make them all comport with one another. He simply has no credibility on any issue. Tonight he was talking about balancing the budget whilst touting a national health care plan and proposing expanding the military. GWB did exactly what he needed to do here - highlight Monsieur sKerry's voting record, sKerry's tax shenanigans against 'the rich', and his lack of comprehension with regards to foreign policy. Some of the questions were moronic - 'who would you nominate to the Supreme Court?' What a dumbassed question. 'Name three mistakes and how you corrected them.' - GWB never really answered that. sKerry's retort was goat-fuck stupid. Excellent job by the President on this one. Have you actualy READ Monsieur sKerry's economic plan? It scares the living shit out of me. Hamstringing the ability US based multi-nationals to compete with their foreign counterparts is NOT a road that leads to economic recovery for the US. It is one which leads to economic disaster. The instable situation in Venezuela - and to a far lesser extent the west coast of Africa - is also a major factor in oil prices these days and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Saying that GWB is the major reason for stability in the Middle East is about as tenable as stating I am the major reason short blond folk aren't well represented in the NBA. In truth, neither candidate has taken a strong enough stance on ending our dependence on Middle Eastern oil. Biodiesel - good stuff. The argument that the economy cannot improve is meretricious on so many levels I won't even address it. How many GWB budgets have we been through to date? Under whose budget did the indicators start their nose dive? Quite salient factors in any economic discussion. Again- the voucher solution is not apropos for all situations. That's why it should be states and local governments that decide when to implement them. Nor are they a government endorsement of religion when used by parents to pay towards tuition at an accredited parochial/religious school. They are a viable means for a better education for SOME - but not all - children in sub-par school districts.

The schools of which you speak seem to be far from failing - and therefore an inappropriate comparison for the purpose at hand. Quite interesting however.

Ahhhh...so accredited religious schools receiving school vouchers constitute a law effecting and establishment of religion? I think not. Asinine by all accounts. I don't want my tax dollars supporting public institutions that have racially discriminatory admissions policies, yet my $$ do so against my will. Compare and contrast the students from any religious accredited school with students of failing public schools anytime you like - and then see which one you would rather have your children attend.
