So your w/l on your own gear is about 1.2. I'd be surprised if your recurrency coach allows you to jump it. Your profile says Perris. Lots of good student gear to choose from. If it were me, I'd put a dozen or so jumps on (at least) a 230 and see how it goes. It would suck to break your leg on your 190 just to save the cost of rental gear.

I dont know.. last time I was there, I was sick and people were dying all over the place. I remember the loading area for the tram being spacious and dont recall a lot of fueling going on but I'm certainly not arguing. You said "such as?", and I said "how about over there?". I'm 1500 miles away so I really have no opinion except I'd take my chances avoiding spinning props and the loud engines that preceed them, over being in the way of canopies. Certainly if the 100 ways are going to use the main landing area to dirt dive then the loads going up during that time should be told to use the alternate landing area. Cant see anyone having a problem with that. The main landing area was closed to canopy traffic twice last time I was there. -

Walk out of manifest and turn left.. in that area where you board the tram to get out to the loading area. Unless there was a lot of airplane traffic over there. I assume thats where Chuck was talking about when he said 200 feet away and closer to loading the plane. -
Just talked to Tracie.. Beezy is doing a little better every day. Its not that he is "sick" so much as he is recovering from having a major surgery. He is still not strong enough for visitors. Sorry I'm posting rather vague information here but this is a public website and the details of his health are private and protected by law, so this forum is not the place to share that information. If you'd like more information from me, call me or PM me. But theres not much else to share right now other than he is recovering from surgery. Everyone keep pulling for him.

All I know is that it doesn't cost me $22 to hit "reply", and I dont have to pay $60 to Sangiro every 120 days to renew my login. Nor do I have to wear funny pants to post. -

He is in a private room but he is still pretty sick and is not up for visitors yet. I just spoke with his wife and she has asked that nobody try to come see him yet. He needs time to recover first. She said she would let me know when he is up for visitors and phone calls, and I'll certainly post it here when he is. I want to go see him as much as anyone. Everyone keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

I just talked to Tracie, Beezy's wife. He came out of surgery ok and he is in ICU recovery. However the surgery was not succesful and so its on to Plan B. If you need more details, you can call or PM me. This is going to be a tougher road that we'd hoped for.. so please keep praying for him.

I know there are some Skydive Atlanta people who have nightmare stories about getting their rigs OUT of PR after a boogie. They almost just had to stay there with their rigs.
