Clay, dont get your panties all in a wad. Ben's actions towards you have nothing to do with Mark, or any of the other employees/jumpers at ASC. Some people love to jump there. Some people have been dicked over and wont go back there. Thats a personal choice, and that situation is not isolated to ASC. ASC gets the flack because theyre big, theyre competitive, and they use deceptive advertising. My personal experience with ASC was kind of annoying, and I dont go out of my way to jump there, but I dont think that animosity towards a particular dz or the people who jump there will do anyone any good. Everyone knows their advertising is ridiculous, and its perfectly alright to make fun of them for that, but otherwise.. chill.... ps- you still owe me a beer...

Me too! And I've met some very cool, fun, interesting, annoying, attractive, ugly, witty, boring, egotistical... (a little of everything) on this site. We are a very diverse group who are passionate about a common interest and are very supportive of each other. I'm glad to be in on it! I especially like Sangiro because he makes me think of Sangria, which makes me think of margaritas....

According to This post , shes a lot more in to posting bs than she is in to skydiving. But thats okay, posting bs is easier, cheaper, and much less challenging than skydiving. Ya do what you can. I do have one point to make.. the two human maggots who dragged Mr. Byrd to death are on death row and will die of lethal injection. (We do not run down to the state prison when we run out of charcoal for our bbq's.. that is SICK, Sue.. and of course you weren't being serious, but once again you have no clue as to what youre talking about). I just cant argue with a pile of talking bullshit. I think shes been rightfully smacked down. Game over.

Do a search on this site and find .commers who are near you, (or post in Places to Jump), organize a weekend of jumping at the dz most convenient to everyone, and tell the old farts to get their heads out of their asses and start acting like skydivers. If you are anywhere near me, PM me, I'll jump with you, and then I'll beat the friendly out of the rest of the dz.

Whats your point, Sue? Glad you enjoyed SXSW.. just one of the many diverse things Texas has to offer. And to address the point that someone made about Texas secceeding from the US, do some research on that. It cant be done easily, and while Texans are PROUD (and have damn good reason to be), we are even prouder to be Americans. Texas will never leave the US, so dont even start that shit. Throw me out of a plane in a blue Texas sky any day. I am not likely to land in horse shit.

I've also lost friends due to them being involved with people who were/are involved in drugs. I see nothing wrong with giving your friend a wake up call and trying to make her understand that if she continues to expose herself to that, its only a matter of time before his problems become her problems. You have to protect yourself as well.. heres an example scenario that happened to one of my friends: He was out running around with one of his friends, her boyfriend called so they picked him up. My friend got pulled over for speeding, boyfriend had some coke on him, got freaked out and stashed it in the pocket behind the driver's seat. The police thought they had reason to search the car, found the coke, and they all went to jail. My friend got charged with possession because it was in his car and of course bf denied it was his. My friend now has a drug charge on his record that is going to pop up every time he interviews for a new job, gets pulled over, applies for a passport..etc. I guess thats not the end of the world, but it certainly makes life more difficult. Of course, we can argue that the police could have done a little more investigating and figured out what was really going on, but they didnt, and I just wanted to prove my point that it is perfectly reasonable to choose not to expose yourself to situations like that. I hope your friend is strong enough to make the right decision about the guy... and that you can still be friends.
