I have profound hearing loss.. been that way all my life, best thing you could do is get him hearing aids asap. but i'm not sure what age is to start, sooner he hears things the better his grasp language will be, also its never to early learn sign language, kids pick it up right away.. in fact there's even been some research into children learning language faster via sign langage before they can even talk.. you should talk to hearing speclist but they all want different things, another thing to consider is cochlear ear implant, but I don't know how soon they can do them.. and they are but pricy, so besure insurance covers it... but being deaf is nothing to be ashamed of.. in fact I hate it when I have my hearing aids on sometimes.. TOO DAMN MUCH NOISE! background noises, other people talking, radio playing.. "noise pollution!" I am glad I can turn my hearing aids off.. and enjoy peace and quite any time. mike

I just bought a 2005 VW jetta TDI 5 speed Turbo diesel. I't's every bit as fast as the gasoline engines, lots of low end torque. it gets a consent 45 mpg easy all the time and I have a lead foot. I fill it up about every 3 weeks...another guy I work with bought one too.. he lives farther away than me and does lot of highway driving.. he said he gets 48 mpg with it on the long highway trips mine in combiation of city / highway. I've never had mine on any long highway drives yet.. for those long trips I fly. AA

well on a big student canopy like a Manta or something with a light wingloading like under 1:1 maybe 075:1 or so you should come in slow and softly every time.

having lived in Texas 9 years.. I think I've jumped Texas maybe 10 times total once at SSM (nice place, nice people) and Skydive Dallas.. I go else where to jump..however.. -
you'll be fine with flagger for flaring.. when in doubt go half brakes and hold..always land into the wind too.. besure you know your wind direction. you might want to get together with Billy Vance I lives closest to you and can teach you alot. heck I'll even fly up to Alabama to help billy. But I won't go to ASC

I'll set it up... take you to engine overhaul shop for Rolls Royce RB-211 and Trent 800 and to hanger where the 777 and 767 come in for thier checks right now we just got a 767 in dock for its heavy check 4 weeks.
