How can I take a vacation when I have only worked at my current job for 9 months. Plus I work for an airline that is currently flying twice as many flights as normal plus some heavy's trying to get people who are stranded out. How about all the mechanic that I work with all take a vacation now and walk out. I would love the hear all the bitching everyone would be yelling if we did that. Don't panic, you've got options, just come up with a plan in just in case. *** Yeah,my options are to stay and work the job that I was hired to do and get these people out of here. I see these people on these planes and the look they give me would send chills up your spine. I went on board today after the plane was loaded to fix the overhead bin that would not stay closed. The glazed over look these people gave me I cannot even explain it. I walked off the plane around the corner were nobody could see me and just cried. I havent cried since my mom gave me an ass whoopin when I was about 13. I cannot leave here but some of the people here are making things really hard. That flight went somewhere in texas to an airforce base. They are now flying out a lot of the homeless now. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

No kidding and they are running out of gas right on I-10 and I live about 1/2 mile from I-10 and they are leaving the cars in the middle of the road and that is where they decide to bring the chaos to BR. Yes there is! Arm yourself because the police are stretched thin here. I am in Baton Rouge where a lot of the people are being hauled to. So far there was a small riot downtown at the Red Cross station. People have been robbed leaving the grocery store. A lady got shot and car jacked in Denham Springs next to a park where a lot of them are being dropped off at. I personaly held up a guy in my Apt complex yesterday with a 12guage who was breaking into cars in our parking lot. He told me he was just doing what he needed to do to survive. I havent figured out how he planned on eating a car stereo. Things are getting bad here in town. I thought I was going to stay here for sometime but I am considering changing jobs and moving out because it is going to get a lot worse here before it gets better. Oh really? What all is planned? I moved away from Colorado about 9 months ago but will be moving back hopefully sooner than later. I miss Mile-Hi and Colorado. Once again I offer my spare bedroom to someone who is homeless until you get things figured out. I have all my power and everything in Baton Rouge to anyone who needs it. This is very true. But nobody was forcasting that it would do that. They all said it was going to turn east. Even if it havent turn to the east I had everything ready to go at the door to get out. But no matter what I say there will be the one's on here saying "your and idiot" and everything else. If I lived in New Orleans I would have been gone. With them being under sea level you are now seeing what happens. Enough from me, we were lucky here in Baton Rouge. Very little damage and I only lost power for 8 hours. I havent heard of any report of deaths in Baton Rouge as of yet. To the east of here I bet it will be a different story. I'm gonna try to get in touch with Gold Coast and Skydive N'awlins again tommorow and see if there is anything I can do to help out. We had to go to work tonight and get things set up for tommorow. Were cool like Fonzie now. The power just came back on and my Ben&Jerry's didnt get ruined. Baton Rouge got very lucky. No flooding, power outages, no deaths in the city have been reported. Winds only got to around 70 here. I took a drive around and I have seen more damage from a bad thunderstorm than what we have now. We were very lucky and thank you to the kind people who sent pm's of concern for me. I will be going to the aorport tonight to get help get the hangar ready for flights to resume whenever.
