As a member of the armed forces I find it very upsetting that a fellow member would do this to their command. I prefer to view it as the actions of a person who does not have the mental maturity/capacity to serve and should have been weeded out during basic. We cannot sit over here and blame their ethnic background, religious beliefs or lack there of for what he did. Remember that the militaries around the world are made from the same people as exist in their societies and therefore are going to come from different backgrounds. Also please remember that for every one person who does something heinous like this there are many more with the same background that serve proudly and now feel ashamed of what happened. Laughter can be more satisfying than honor; more precious than money; more heart-cleansing than prayer.---Harriet Rochlin :)
