Purdy. The only thing I don't like Jim is the location of the hook knife on the top of the right mudflap. It's a stretch but... If you ever had a 'function If the hook knife lanyard snap came loose If the lanyard/dot snap came up and blocked the three ring from disengaging. Bucho trouble. l know, a lot of "ifs". If it was my rig I would put the hook knife on the chest strap where it is more accessible to either hand and use a downward extraction. From my own experience, there is no way you can prepare yourself. The best you can do is love the heck out of that person, keep your chin up, put on your happy face. Yes, I know it doesn't fit well in these circumstances, do the best you can. After the fact, thank the Creator with all your heart for blessing you with her friendship. Continue with your life until the hollow-hearted, wooden, useless, everyday stuff becomes real to you again. And above all... forgiveness. Some people just can't get over the fact that someone just up on dies on them depriving them of their friendship. It takes time. Go through the motions until the feelings come back into your life.
