  1. Wow! Since I leave my iPod plugged in while sleeping it wouldn't bode well to have it melt and perhaps start a fire with a battery like that! Didn't know Apple had a trade-in offer. I'll have to look into that. I'll call them tomorrow (Apple store is a 45 minute drive away, so it wouldn't work to drive all the way down there to be told 'no'). I joined a gym this past week and everyone's running around with their MP3 players hooked on. I feel so left out.... edit to add: Found Apple has a Recycling Program that gives you a 10% discount off a new iPod if you bring your old one in. Guess this is what you were referring to... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. I know, almost 3 years later from your post....But "Search" pulled it up first when I put in "iPod Battery Replacement". I have a 3rd Generation iPod (40GB model) and can't justify getting a much smaller HD (or too expensive large HD) new iPod. Now looking to replace the battery that holds only a 50 minute charge now (after 3 years of owning it). Are you still happy with the purchase you bought at "Newer Technologies"? Or would you recommend someone else now? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. Damn our planes are good... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. That picture looks like you not only Photoshopped Campos in there, but your head as well! Can we call you 'no neck'? I agree with the other posters who suggest you return the suit for alteration (can they alter a wingsuit that's so gargantuan on it's flyer?) or remake. An over-large wingsuit is a hazard, but you already knew that. Sorry your fun is going to have to wait, again. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. Your profile is empty, so it's hard to give proper advice to you. 1) In the U.S. it's 18 y/o unless some places (Las Vegas) are said to take them at 16 with parents written consent. 2) If it's outside the U.S. you might have better luck as their laws may not be as strict. 3) My advice is to let him dream and grow his 'book' knowledge, while taking him to a wind tunnel to gain the body skill. It's expensive, but you'd satisfy his longing to 'fly' until he's of proper age. **Google "Wind Tunnel Team Future" and read about how their parents are footing the bill so their kids can do something fun. Some parents let their kids do soccer or little league baseball. These parents take their kids to the wind tunnel. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. Hey, I don't want to have my cookies taste like rubber! Let's stick with good ol' fashioned butter, k?
  7. Thanks for sharing. I'm laughing so hard I'm almost crying.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. I'm no stranger to the kitchen, but yeah...what the heck is a Silpat? (I see the OP lives in WA...Perhaps it's something Canadian? Wax paper? Butter? Something to keep the little buggers from sticking?? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  10. I was browsing along the classifieds today and found this! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/detail_page.cgi?ID=59853;d=1 Our own Tony Hathaway is conducting a Cameraflyer Seminar in FL this month! To give the newbies a little history on Tony, when I met him he was the cameraflyer for our U.S. National Women's 4-way team, Synchronicity, in 2002 and 2003, competing Nationally and in Worlds. Here's his web page: http://www.tonyhathaway.com/. He can do more that fly 4-way! I remember when I was a newbie cameraflyer and took a camera camp from the Airspeed boys (Marc Steinbaugh and Stevie Nowak). It gave me a leg-up on the competition with their mentoring and confirmed that what I'd already learned from the cameraflyers at my DZ was on the right track. I came away from the camp more confident that I wouldn't "J" my 4-way team in competition and could fly more aggressively. I highly recommend if you're wanting to improve your knowledge and step way ahead in your flying skills that you consider contacting Tony. There are few cameraflyers around who have his skill, who are willing to sit down and put together a seminar like this. Besides, FL is beautiful this time of year!
  11. Looking to make some skydiving decals like this? (1/2 way down the page). http://www.square1.com/manufacturers/square1/p517.asp ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. Guess just some of us celebrated the Leap Year thang. It was the 29th for me here yesterday... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  14. off the coast of sri lanka awesome scuba diving there
  15. You're referring to the first post. He's referring to the second (which btw, has a peculiar airport name--"Male International Airport". ) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. Sitting here healing from a dislocated shoulder myself (traumatic injury) this video makes me very paranoid that such a -light- touch from the wind (or other person) can dislocate it again. Sigh.... Although it -is- the wind tunnel I'll test my arm in the first time back. Easier to climb out of there than try and save my life in the air with a non-functional arm. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. Sweet looking plane! Where'd you jump it at? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Hello I'm new

Hey, alert the media! We found DB (cooper?)!!! Welcome to our dysfunctional family DB...
  19. Is THIS your plane? It has a rainbow tail. From THIS WEB PAGE which says it's from Las Vegas. If not, the "Peckerhead Meat" was always held in Cal City's DZ. (near Edwards AFB) Which is now closed. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  20. Okay, I don't know where the heck this "Maldives" place is, but doesn't this photo make you want to just hijack all these Otters and do formation loads? http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.php?id=456222 I mean, they're just sitting there waiting for us! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. Imagine where we could skydive if our DZ had this addition to our Otters!
  22. The only time I feel it's needed to park as close to the door as possible is when it's night and there's an issue of safety. Otherwise, yeah...start your warm-up by walking in from the far reaches of the parking lot.
  23. You can't view it, or you don't understand it? Here's a little explanation of who Danica Patrick is. An incredible Indy driver who did very well in the Indy500 last year. She's also featured in 2008's SI Swimsuit edition. But I digress...this thread is about "Parking on the Lines", sorry... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  24. Bet you wouldn't say that to HER. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  25. Or how about these 'compact only' spaces...That not even -that- kind of car can squeeze into. A parkinglot nearby recently repaved and restriped their lot and when they put down the paint every lane was smaller to make more spots to park. By the time you squeeze into your spot you're right...good luck opening you door! Isn't there a mandatory size they're supposed to be??? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
