  1. Still waiting to hear from someone who knows him, who has the complete story. Sending out a request: Can someone who knows Tim contact his home DZ and see what the status of his rig is, and what is his need? I'd do it, but since I don't know Tim he might not respond. Thanks

    Block 12

Yeah, it was all about the skill of the cameraflyer getting the right angle for that block... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. Thanks for the update, Jack. Glad to see you're still lurking the forums here.
  4. Maybe a boat. Oh, wait, it would have sunk then, wouldn't it have? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. Since you didn't mention my pull-up cord hiding place, I -had- to answer... I almost -always- have to wear my weight belt to keep up with the heavy guys, so I have it in communicating with the lead. Have my business card in there also, in case it is lost. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. Yeah, but then you're frozen cold -before- getting on the plane, so you're just numb to it on the way to altitude. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. I believe Para-Gear has them in stock, now. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Hmmmm, getting ready for some 'relative work' 'eh? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. I took some with my cell phone but can't get the darn thing to blue-tooth them over to my 'puter. I can get pictures -from- my computer to my cell phone but not the reverse. (I was too lazy to walk clear back to my trailer to get the 'real' camera gear before trecking over to the DZ's hanger ) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. Can you fly relative with a group -without- a camera on your head? If not, it might be a good idea to brush up on your RW skills a bit.
  11. Drew Absolutely ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. I find it quite effective, unless one's opponent has studied his Agrippa.... Which I have. You see, I am not left handed... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  13. Okay, went to Pacific Skydiving (thanks to the dropzone listings here in dz.com) and clicked on 'staff'. Is this the Tim you know? http://www.pacific-skydiving.com/staff.htm ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. We first need his contact info (and need). Anyone know how to get ahold of Tim? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. Thanks Bill for the clarification. Since there was gaffer's tape around that window, which was crinkled like it had been stretched, I didn't know if it was pre- or post-. Kind of strange how it was the exact opposite of the punctured left window, though. Do you know, was the item that went through the left window still in the 'Van or had it already rolled out the back during flight? Also for moving this thread to a more appropriate forum. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. Not sure this belongs in the Incidents forum, but here goes. Yes, the cowlings were blown off the left engine of the SkyVan. It happened after the last skydiver left. I'm guessing that they're somewhere in Lake Elsinore now, since they were over the water when this happened (the cowlings, not the skydivers). Visible damage (to a non-pilot, so take it for what it's worth): Lost cowlings Shredded engine Punctured window on the left. Dislodged window on the opposite right. Small holes running down the fuselage Rip on the top of the left horizontal stabilizer Oil all along the side of the SkyVan, including the tail. Still dripping at sunset, several hours later I'm sure the estimates will be coming in at a later date. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. Cool! Who's on the team? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. Never met 'Eloy Tim'. Here's a picture with this article. Is this the same Tim you know? http://kgmb9.com/kgmb/display.cfm?storyID=9299&sid=1183 ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. A PLF saved my life today... I was doing some yard work and the trash can was filled with leaves. You guessed it...I was inside the trash can, jumping up and down on the leaves, packing them so I could fit more inside...when the trash can tipped. I PLF'd a perfect landing and walked away unscathed. Nary a scratch. Practice those PLF's! They could save -your- life someday too.
  20. Personally, if I had a rig that was too small for my canopy I'd look in the classifieds (and perhaps post as well) and see if there was anyone who wanted to -downsize- and willing to trade rigs. Your rig is the perfect size for alot of pilots (and also the size rig I use as a cameraflyer...I like my canopy a bit larger than those with my same jump numbers....many reasons). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. That is a -very- good idea. I've search on dz.com to see if Tim is a member here (to PM him), but wasn't successful. If anyone has his contact info please let him know I'd be willing to donate some funds to help him replace his gear as well....he just needs to let me know his contact info. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Not sure if this has been posted anywhere else (did a forum search and didn't see anything). I can't believe some snot would do such a thing as steal someone's gear while he risked his life to save someone elses. http://www.thehawaiichannel.com/news/9975446/detail.html ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. A little clarification for us here. What is the problem? Is it with the camera, or is it with your flying? Two completely different topics. While you answer that, take a look a the articles our Moderator put together for new cameraflyers: http://www.futurecam.com/skydive.html Do any of these answer your question? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  24. Good chance it's ACSS? http://www.skyleague.com/pages/teams/showTeam.php?team=889 ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  25. 'bout evey other week, with a dusting inbetween.
