I have a long weekend ahead of me... and not in the good way! Have a tryout with a new band on Monday so I have to learn about 25 new songs by then... no major problem, just means being cooped up and having to listen to A LOT of cheesy dance tunes while figuring them out (not my favorite music style). But I'm gonna use the money from gigs to pay for my skydiving (at least that is the plan) so it's for a good cause. Then on Sunday I get to see my son for Father's Day...

From almost 1 year ago (last August). I am about 15 pounds lighter in the gut now. I need to get some more current ones done - I cut my hair at the end of January and I am debating between growing it back or keeping it short. Well, my mom is paying for my first jump as a birthday present this year. Her exact words? "If that's what you want then ok. Just so long as I can wait on the ground for you because I am NOT coming down with you!" Gonna try to get my sister to do her first jump with me that day also. I lost a few good friends in high school to this kind of thing. 2 to deliberate drug ODs that would have killed them had they not died in the car wreck (lost control due to the drugs). 1 used a .44 to the head. I wish there had been some way to stop them or that they had not been so deep in despair that they could not have at least made a phone call or something to prevent this. Vibes to your friend.
